Universal Pictures has canceled the September 27 release of the controversial movie "The Hunt," in the wake of significant backlash over the film that depicts privileged vacationers hunting "deplorables" for sport.
NBCs Universal Pictures, which shares parent company Comcast with NBC News and MSNBC, told Fox News on Wednesday that the movies marketing campaign would be temporarily paused on the heels of the tragic mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, Dayton, Ohio, and Gilroy, California.

Misleading title. Not cancelled...simply delayed.
I vote for releasing it in late October 2020.

Actually, they were close to getting the timing right. The Left is very close to simply wanting us dead, so we’ll be out of the way. A year from now, it wouldn’t have been canceled (and it still may come out then), as the Left will be SCREAMING for a feel-good movie.

MANY people are saying that the movie actually shows a Deplorable as the hero after fighting back.
I’ve read in my places that the plot is not what people think

Looks like postponed, not canceled. They are just a little too early on the power curve to fully show what they believe.

Would the ObamaFBI tell us that the El Paso shooter saw an ad for this movie the night before his massacre? Of course not.. That would IMPLICATE HOLLYWOOD and the ObamaFBI would NEVER do that!

A wise move on their part. It’s release would lead to serious violence.

Misleading title. Not cancelled...simply delayed.I hope they release it for the Fall of 2020. Would definitely energize all of us deplorables and would offend most, if not all, undecided voters.

The movie seems anti-Democrat elitists.
The liberal elites hunting deplorables aren’t portrayed as good.
And they are defeated by the deplorables they sought to hunt m

The plot of this movie isn’t a new one. Jean Claude Van Damme made a movie called “Hard Target” where rich elitists hunted Veterans, mostly Nam vets. Van Damme plays a young veteran that turns the tables on them. I have no idea if “The Hunt” has the same twist.

The real reason they shelved it: backlash. The left is alienating a mass of voters that are generally undecided. This isnt to be confused with an epiphany. They dont give a damn about anything else.
To: blueyon
First off, the answer would be YES. The only problem as I see it, is Liberals are not capable of anything approaching coherent thought.
