"Authorities reviewing whether first responder posted about Epstein death on 4chan before official announcement"
The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) is looking into a 4chan post purporting to be from a first responder detailing the death of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein more than 30 minutes before it was made public, according to BuzzFeed News.
A user on the message board, a popular hub for white supremacists and conspiracy theorists, reportedly wrote: “dont ask me how I know, but Epstein died an hour ago from hanging, cardiac arrest. Screencap this.”
The post came 38 minutes before ABC News broke the news of Epstein’s death at 8:54 a.m. on Saturday, according to BuzzFeed.
When other 4chan users were skeptical about the initial claims, the poster added further information, including the procedures used in the attempts to revive Epstein — details that have not yet been made public.
Deputy FDNY Commissioner Frank Gribbon said that while he “could not verify the accuracy” of the post, the fire department will review the matter. He added that any disclosure of medical information without consent would constitute a violation of privacy laws.
Gribbon and the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office did not immediately respond to requests for comment about the review.
Oren Barzilay, president of the union for EMT workers Local 2507 in New York, told BuzzFeed that "our members do not release this type of confidential information, this looks like a 3rd party info.”
If there is a claim of a confidential breach, Barzilay said, the union will investigate it.
“There's serious consequences for those violations. Discipline. Suspensions. Civil penalties, etc,” he told the news outlet.

If this is accurate, probably the only accurate info we will ever get about Epstein’s status.
First responders really, really shouldn’t be taking pictures or telling tales in public, in any case, regardless of who they’re dealing with. Curious as we all are, this does stink to high heaven.
It appears that ABC News first reported it based on a “law enforcement source” which it then was able to confirm with the Bureau of Prisons.
So who was the “law enforcement source” that tipped off ABC that they should call the BOP and ask whether Epstein was dead?
Is that “source” also being tracked down for punishment?

Question is.... were they first responders or something/somewhat else? So much speculation on Twitter re who took the pic, who the people are in the pic, when was pic taken etc etc.
