Good riddance. I was with the 39th BCT when her cohorts told us to turn in our magazines and ammo. Gun grabber commie who dropped the ball and dozens died because of her. /rant

Blanco took her marching orders from the DNC when Katrina hit.

This woman exemplifies why all disaster and rescue relief efforts (and money) should be coordinated at the state/local levels only. The federal government needs to get out of the natural disaster area.

Both Blanco and Nagin sat on their hands waiting for the right opportunity to blame Bush, who (as usual) sat there and didn't defend himself. So the governments sat there bickering while people were being killed (it also didn't help that most New Orlean residents had a mindset that the "gubmint" was going to take care of them, so they weren't proactive themselves).

Did she or did she not have a nervous breakdown?

What she did during Katrina was to try to make GWBush look bad. Out of spite. Evil Bush and evil conservative volunteers didn’t care about New Orleans (volunteers from harder hit Mississippi were blocked at the state line).

There’s a saying that you do not send a boy to do a man’s job and there were no men present during Katrina.

I’m not sure. But Katrina was a total breakdown at the state and local level. Democrats like to play politics with natural disasters, like Gov. Chiles of FL did when Andrew hit so the media and Dems can blame Bush I. Fortunately, Trump wasn’t having none of this crap when the hurricane hit Houston and PR.

She did. I was on conf. call when we all heard her Dem cohorts say "Don't accept their help, it will make Bush look good".

Gov. Huckabee then took our ROE (rule of engagement) and threw it in the trash. He looked right at our command staff and said, "I order you to do whatever it takes to bring every member of the 39th back home safe. I won't have any Arkansans die due to politics right after you came home from Iraq".

There was one: Lieutenant General Russel L. "Don't get Stuck on Stupid" Honoré.

She disgraced herself during Katrina. I hope that I will never be remembered as a partisan creep.
Still, RIP. Cancer is brutal.

She was brainwashed by the DNC to think GWB was evil. Her incompetence killed dozens, if not hundreds.

I was wondering if he was thinking of her when he came up with the DNC motto of “Stuck on stupid?”

I remember as an estimated 80 mph wind was blowing into New Orleans area and it appeared the area had been spared, she was having a press conference and a member of the press asked her about president Bush coming in to tour the area. She said they had work to do and didn’t need the president to come in for a photo opp. Next thing you know much of the area went under water. A lot of people died. Then they blamed Bush for not coming in earlier.

She made hurricane Katrina political. So did the chocolate city mayor.
