Rural areas DO have less of a say even within the electoral college system. The electoral college just slightly reduces the advantage of urban areas. Anyway you slice it the urban areas have tremendous influence on the selection of a President.

a true statement; one many on this website would do well to remember...and in reality, the only way to address this is to get rid of the damned winner take all system, and give weight to the various congressional districts, like ME and NE...

Look at my old home....just downstate from Chicago. Chi-town runs and ruins the state. Ditto St. Louis/KC for Mizzou. It’d be the same all over without the EC
