Former FARC commanders say they are taking up arms again

"When we signed the accord in Havana we did so with the conviction that it was possible to change the life of the most humble and dispossessed," said Marquez...

"But the state hasn't fulfilled its most important obligation, which is to guarantee the life of its citizens and especially avoid assassinations for political reasons."...

Marquez was a key negotiator of the peace agreement signed in 2016...

The announcement, which Marquez said was filmed in Colombia's Amazon, comes as the complex agreement faces severe challenges, including the murder of hundreds of former rebels and human rights campaigners...

The group says its objective now is the installation of a government that will support peace...

It will fight corruption and fracking and demand payments from those participating in illegal economies and from multinational companies, Marquez said...

I'm not that up to speed on the FARC bit, but I wonder if doors closing at the US border are making some down there considering "fixing" their own country.
