Mobile Police say at least 10 people have been shot at Ladd Peebles Stadium. Police say the age of those injured ranges from 15 to 18. Mobile Fire-Rescue confirms 10 people were transported to area hospitals. The five patients transported by MFRD were taken to the hospital in critical condition, but with non-life threatening injuries. ..... snip.... And the video he shows of it IS interesting... Several people are just sitting there calmly, grinning, while others all around them are hiding under the bleachers. The officials on the field are carrying on as if everything is normal.

There’s not much coming out yet over the incident, but I’ll wager that this was a small caliber pistol (maybe a 22-type) and that accounts for word usage of ‘non-life threatening’.
Being from Ala, I’ll also wager that it eventually comes back to some gang-related situation, or drugs in use.
