And even if we assume you're right, and 2A only covers personal weapons, then why was the huge majority of cannon in the early US privately owned? If the Constitution didn't allow the people to have them, then how did they have them?

Thanks gattaca. The Constitution also doesn't say that a President has to publish his tax returns. It also doesn't say that anyone has a "freedom from religion".
