The United States Founders understood that law-abiding, decent people must be able to protect themselves from criminals and governments. They enshrined this right into the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
Regretfully, leaders of 145 of Americas corporations some of them industry and cultural leaders just decided that sucking up to the woke leftist crowd is more important than human rights, constitutional guarantees, and evidence.
Complete cluelessness
From Twitter to Levis to Edelman and Eventbrite, these CEOs and co-founders wrote a letter demanding that Congress step in to restrict firearm ownership rights. They urged background checks and increased ability for law enforcement to restrict the rights of people interpreted as potentially dangerous red flag laws.
Heres the problem: Government has often missed obvious signs with current laws, never mind ones which put more responsibility on faceless bureaucrats and law enforcement officers. As we discussed earlier this month, the recent Odessa, Texas shooting happened a month after police were called about the alleged shooter threatening a neighbor with a rifle. Police never showed and the shooter never should have owned a firearm in the first place, according to media reports.
This is a common occurrence the same government which these CEOs want us to trust to stop shooters completely missing obvious signs of future violence.

Next, a re-defining of the word, “infringed”.
We are a market to them, not a nation.
Sort of like what the meaning of is is? And they got away with that one so..................
They got away with it with natural born citizen.
Now what are all the FReepers who own stock in these companies going to do?
No purpose
Own stock? Past that. I can take stock in my puny efforts out in the yard and that’s about it. :-)
I looked through the list of companies and they are pretty much all known lefties. Weird companies that were formed to cater to lefties demands for shopping, eating and whatever.
It is too bad about Levi Strauss but they turned left many years ago as I recall.
Correct.
There arent many here I am even familiar with. Most sound like lefty orgs anyway. No one to boycott as I dont use any of these now.
I had a job interview with them in 1997 and even back then the interviewers were all patting themselves on the back about how "progressive" the company was.
I took a different job. :)
Thanks for posting.
Check on all the so called professionals in psychiatry that passed the Florida massacre kid through middle school, sent him to special school for problem kids where he was just as bad, sent him back to regular school taught him to shoot, then he committed the massacre.
Tell me what that has to do with law abiding citizens.
The Virginia Tech shooting years ago,the I out the psychiatrist he was seeing who said he was a threat but was afraid of saying anything because of political correctness, the Sandy Hook shooter who everyone in town who had contact with him knew he was very strange, his mother allowed him access to those violent shooting video games, she had legal guns.
This is a mental illness problem not a 2nd amendment issue
I contribute some to Shutterstock and make a little money sometimes.
Bloomberg, Twitter, Gap, Levi and Uber and the only ones of all of them that I recognize. I do not use any product or service from ANY of those companies. I never heard of any of the rest. It’s like listing all of the clean public bathrooms at local quickstops. Five are clean and the rest are, well, s____ty.
Fascism defined: “A “Marriage” of Corporations and Government”. This is what the Left is advocating in the United States, a new revised form of Fascism
You’re welcome.
