Lindsey Graham calls for DOJ probe of Biden-Ukraine connection: 'There is enough smoke here'

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham on Sunday called for a Justice Department investigation of the Biden-Ukraine connection.

The South Carolina Republican said the investigation into former Vice President Joseph R. Biden’s dealings in Ukraine should be as far-reaching and aggressive as the Russia probe that targeted President Trump’s 2016 campaign.

“Joe Biden said everybody’s looked at this and found nothing. Who is everybody? Nobody has looked at the Ukraine and the Bidens,” Mr. Graham said on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“There is enough smoke here,” he said. “Was there a relationship between the vice president’s family and the Ukraine business world that was inappropriate? I don’t know. Somebody other than me needs to look at it and I don’t trust the media to get to the bottom of it.”

Mr. Graham said the investigation should extend to Ukraine’s possible involvement in the 2016 election, including leaking information that discredited Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and contributed to his conviction for tax and bank fraud as a result of the Russia probe.

Trump's Rope a Dope worked.

He created the Whistle Blower to compel MSM to cover Biden's Ukraine connections.

Thanks for all the help, Linda.
We’ve only known about this since 2015
I suspect you knew about it in much more detail from you buddy McCain

Trump didn’t create anything. He reacted like he usually does with tweets and stuff. Nothing will happen to Biden, Clinton or any of these people.

That nothing will happen is not due to Trump.

The US is now deeply corrupt.

It cannot be repaired.

Biden needs to explain why he would insist that a Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating public corruption be fired as a condition for getting American aid.

Definitely. Trump is the only game in town with occasional assists by a handful of senators.

Trump has probably calculated that his reelection chances are better if his people don’t prosecute dem politicians. I don’t like it but trust his judgment.

“Joe Biden said everybody’s looked at this and found nothing.”

Vintage Lib /Prog subterfuge. Although very little if any scrutiny has been engaged on this, Biden trumpets it’s been investigated thoroughly and he was found completely faultless.

It’s a variant of the “old news move on” recital when in reality it’s only now being looked at.

Well, because the prosecutor did not understand how we "investigate" in the modern world. Mistakes were made. New procedures will be implemented. A blue ribbon commission will be formed to track the improvements in addressing cultural issues in the organization.

Any talk about criminal indictments is just reckless and needlessly provocative /s/

Exactly! The Paki IT scandal has serious national security ramifications but was covered up so quickly that 99 percent of the public never knew what happened. The effectiveness of the coverup really showed me the brutal power of the deep state.

A cynic might say that if he wasn’t trying to protect his son then he was trying to protect someone in the Obama administration. But my suspicion is that he’ll say he was just following instructions from the state dept. of course that just begs the question why the state dept ordered it.
