WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump struck a stance of defiance Wednesday, proclaiming his innocence and leveling distortions and falsehoods after the publicly released notes of his phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart turbocharged the push on Capitol Hill for his impeachment.
The five pages of a rough transcript of Trump's call asking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to work with Attorney General William Barr and personal attorney Rudy Giuliani to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden landed like a hand grenade on Capitol Hill and led House Democrats to recalibrate their strategy.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and her fellow Democratic leaders agreed to speed up their impeachment investigation and significantly narrow it to Trump's dealings with Ukraine, according to five Democrats familiar with their discussions during a closed-door emergency meeting Wednesday in Pelosi's office.
Democratic leaders see the evidence from the Zelensky call as damning enough to impeach - and easy enough for the public to digest - in isolation, without drawing in allegations of obstruction of justice, self-dealing and other wrongdoing. Leaders began discussing a swift timeline to, in the words of one member, "strike while the iron's hot" and possibly vote on articles of impeachment before the end of the year.

I am honestly so disgusted by this. The democrat party will bear none but they. If you aren’t them, you are illegal, period.
This is the type of propaganda that I’ve been talking about. It’s absurd. This isn’t journalism, it’s outright propaganda. No objective reporter can editorialize like that. You won’t find an article anywhere, ever, written by a “meanstream” reporter about Bathhouse Barry with that type of venom. I’ve noticed it become more and more prevalent in the past few months, and I believe it was coordinated.
These people are literally foaming at the mouth.

In the article the cover for Democrats and claim, without proof, that they did nothing wrong when they threatened Ukraine.
They laughably say, “well at no point in the letter did they threaten to cut off funding.”
The irony in their propaganda is breathtaking. At no point in the President’s phone call did he offer a quid pro quo. Yet they’ve proclaimed the transcript, which we’ve all read as “damning”.
It’s the twilight zone. They can’t possibly believe their own propaganda, they just want the public to buy it.
This isn’t a free press.
A successful removal of President Trump would mean that the ballot box no longer matters. They want a banana republic, they just might get one. It is close to time for Trump to call his supporters to Washington in the millions. A sea of torches and pitchforks might provide clarity that the self declared patricians need to fear the people vs. the people fearing them.
This is a damn coup - they’re going to just push the whole thing through with propaganda without a single investigation.
CNN and MSNBC are already blocking Trump’s speeches and propagandizing that he lied and you don’t need to hear his words.
This is not the actions of a Republic.
These are not the actions of a free press.
These are the actions of a totalitarian party attempting to overthrow the government and install a totalitarian dictatorship.

They coincidentally come up with the same phrases on the same days from Morning Joe to the last Shep Smith show. With already set up new bills to introduce in Congress.
“Fairness” (welfare and end of Medicare plus huge taxes on the achievers in society) “A woman’s right to control her own body (as when killing a baby to get rid of what she calls her fetal tissue mass ) and “climate crisis being ignored” (with children brought out to sob and cry over the pathetically few days of life they have left due to evil climate change deniers).

I agree. But if our elected representatives cannot (or will not) act for us, are there realistically enough votes among us, and like-minded people, to mount a campaign and replace them with a majority in Congress?
If not, we're toast. Tyranny is waiting in the wings.
If they carry through with this, the only solution left is a military solution.
Or self help, via the 2nd Amendment.
