The Trump Team have done it again! BRAVO and Well Done!

President Erdogan recognizes how important Turkey is to the area.

An agreement neither side is likely to keep for more than a month or so.

Even if it lasts only month to month its better than wholesale killing and gives people time to work out a better long term solution if there is one.

Jihadists (like Erdogan) don’t keep their word any more than Communists do. They believe these kinds of agreements bind the other party, but not them.

Apparently it’s a five day pause, after which Turkey can do as they please.

That’s a crisp analysis. Subtly undermines the president too.

How are things, patriot?

If these Kurds are more dangerous than ISIS, why are we encouraging a cease-fire? Why are we sanctioning the Turks?

Suggest we all call our House reps. I did today and blasted 2 of them for voting for this resolution. I then called the 2 who voted against it and thanked these 2.

One of ‘Yes” reps will be here tomorrow for a fund raising. I am showing up to give him a piece of my mind and I will not be donating as I’d planned to do.

I am so sorry to see the names on that list who voted against our President. Nunes? Ratcliffe? Scalise? WTF?

Seriously???? You are worried about how long they will keep the agreement. Turkey is a nato member and under sanctions if they break the agreement. Our troops are out of the line of fire and the Kurds are not being slaughtered. Could this have even happened with our troops in the way?. The whole point of Trump’s Middle East strategy is to extricate us militarily from the damage that Bush, and Obama have done in the past 16 years.

Bush earlier today issued a statement condemning Trump for the pullout. How many media, dems, and rinos now have egg on their face and look like idiots. I think a few things went over your head my friend.

Trump is 5 moves ahead of these people. The rinos, including Bush who just condemned the action today, all look totally stupid and like self serving incompetents. the dems and the media look worse. The swampers cannot resist attacking him because they feel he is stupid and foolish. They better start to realize he is showing the world how useless and inadequate they are and they better get on the Trump train or their gonna end up under it.

"It will be a pause in military operation for 120 hours, while the United States facilitates the withdrawal of YPG (the People's Protection Units) from the affected areas in the safe zone. And once that is completed, Turkey has agreed to a permanent ceasefire and the United States of America will work with Turkey -- will work with nations around the world -- to make sure peace and stability are the order of the day in this safe zone," Pence said at a news conference."

A couple of questions right off the bat. First, how are we going to facilitate the withdrawal of YPG units from the affected areas? I'm assuming the YPG isn't going to want to go and we kind of lost any influence we might have had when we threw them under the bus. Second, what nations around the world will be willing to work with us to secure and protect a safe zone? Nobody springs to mind and it isn't going to be us because three, President Trump has made it clear he doesn't see any role for us in the area so U.S. troops are out of the question.

Too many unknowns.

Politics in the swamp. Vote for a resolution that leaves Trump on the limb while you cover your ass. You know he will veto it so they can say they warned him against this course of action for his own good. If Trump loses you win. If Trump wins nobody remembers the resolution that never passed.
