I bought into this type hype in 2018. In 2018 it was 100% hype. I’ll believe blacks are leaving the plantation when I see actual 2020 vote tallies reflecting the movement.

Guess you missed the 2016 election then, cuz it wasn’t hype.

Yes, Trump only got 8% (pretty common for Rs) but another 3% STAYED HOME in FL, NC, and PA at least (where we have data).

That means, in essence, Trump got close to 10% “real” black vote. That would be a high since, I think, the 60s.

If in 2020, Trump receives 15-20% of the Black vote, the Dems. are dead !

I would argue with no real facts to back it up, that there is actually no “black” vote. I argue that there is the black vote of the deep blue big cities and the black vote of the urban smaller cities.

It is the black voters in the later group that are voting for Trump. Taken as a percentage of that small city group of black voters, the percentage is actually greater.

It’s a little different in LA at this moment in time. Drew Brees has been excoriated by the press and the liberals for being a man of God. Louisianans support him and don’t like it one bit. I suspect that had something to do with the larger turnout.

Me too, this is a controlled vote that can be tabulated even before an election.
