'I feel bad that I left': John Kelly warned Trump he would be impeached

SEA ISLAND, Georgia — John Kelly warned President Trump that hiring a “yes man” to succeed him as White House chief of staff would lead to impeachment and, in hindsight, regrets his decision to resign.

House Democrats launched an impeachment inquiry into Trump less than a year after Kelly departed the administration. The retired, four-star Marine general suggested the blame lies squarely with acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and other advisers who are unable, or unwilling, to keep the president out of trouble.

If the Democrats thought they had a valid case, Trump would already be impeached.

A few sentences can easily dash DC Democratic dreams.

“If only Pres. Trump would shut up and do whatever the Deep State tells him to, I wouldn’t have to be plotting his removal,” said John Kelly.

This tells me that John Kelly doesn't understand politics.

The Democrats are throwing Trump in the briar patch at JUST the right time - the run-up to the 2020 election.

I don't know when the Trump counter-batteries are going to start the saturation artillery shelling, but it may be just about now.

If the President has no faith in you then you’re out. Wishing you had stayed doesn’t make a difference.

The reason I think the Trump artillery shelling has started is that all the Usual Suspects on Twitter are soiling their panties today.

Kelly was the bozo who tried to keep Trump from reading Conservative publications like Breitbart.

I believe this setup goes back at least to George Stephanopolos June 17th interview with Trump. Remember all the fuss when Trump stated he would take “dirt” from a foreign country? I don’t believe that was a random question. I also believe that Trump can be his own worst enemy. How did he not see this coming?

Trump is going to do just fine.

50 Senators have now sponsored a bill condemning this impeachment process.

Takes seventeen more than that to convict.

Not going to get that out of the other fifty senators.

I would opine that he forced it to happen. It was a “perfect” call.

It’s not as if the man didn’t know they’d try to impeach him before he was even elected. Every mother f’er liberal was spouting that crap way before you General Kelly. You’re a little late to the game. Ride gracefully off into the sunset, and STFU!

I could do without the artificial drama. Ukraine was going to cooperate no matter what. Trump didn’t need to discuss it, or without military aid. He just made a headache for himself.

I meant “withhold” military aid. I need to proof read better.
