McConnell: If Trump impeachment trial were held today, 'it would not lead to a removal'
Fox News ^ | November 5,2019 | Andrew O'Reilly

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said on Tuesday that it is unlikely that President Trump would be convicted and removed from office is he were to face a Senate impeachment trial today.

It takes two-thirds of the Senate to convict a president and remove him from office. That means at least 20 Republicans would have to vote to convict Trump if he is impeached by the Democrat-controlled House.

McConnell also questioned whether the six Democratic senators currently running for president in 2020 would want to take time off from campaigning to attend what could be a lengthy trial in the Senate.

“The question is how long the Senate wants to take,” he said. “How long do the presidential candidates want to be here on the floor of the Senate instead of Iowa and New Hampshire?”

Impeachment doesn't mean removal of a President.

how’s that for limb wristed, halfassed declaration that Trump is safe...for now. About as reassuring as a cracking sound under your ice fishing shack.

Mitch wants Trump gone . . .

Based upon his showing up and speaking at last night’s rally, The Turtle had better understand that, if he enables PDJT’s downfall, he will likely write his own political obit.

Remember, Mitch is up for reelection next year right along with POTUS—and President Trump is substantially more popular in Kentucky.

If it is all a sham, then Mitch why are you even entertaining it?

Certainly if you want to ram it through quickly?

You can simply ignore it.

DO NOT TRUST MITCH MCCONNELL.

MCCONNELL IS COMPROMISED

Any Senator who would vote for DJT’s removal from office bases on the so-called evidence the Dims have conjured up, would have to know that that would be his/her last term in the US Senate.

I don’t think Mitch wants Trump gone

Trump is a great fund raiser for the GOP

And he knows that

Plus the judiciary

Mitch isn’t petty and stupid, he isn’t Paul Ryno

There would be a better chance at removing you Mitch than DJT.

This guy pisses me off with his tepid support of Trump. At the Kentucky rally he said make America great again. And that was it.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/02/us/politics/transportation-secretary-elaine-chao.html

For the Chao Family, Deep Ties to the World’s 2 Largest Economies

The family of Elaine Chao, the transportation secretary and wife of Mitch McConnell, the Senate majority leader, has high-level political connections not only in the United States but also in China. That gives the family unusual status in the world’s two largest economies.

Through interviews, industry filings and government documents from both countries, The New York Times found that the Chaos, and by extension Mr. McConnell, prospered as the family’s shipping company developed deeper business ties in China. Along the way, one of the company’s boosters was Ms. Chao, who now oversees efforts to promote America’s own maritime industry, which is in steep decline as China’s shipping sector rises in global dominance. Here are five takeaways.

Impeachment is a lot of bluff and bluster. It’s not going to happen.

Mitch needs to stick with getting more conservative judges placed. That’s about all we need from him.

We have one more YEAR to listen to the Death Rattle of the Democrats and it’s annoying as H3LL, already! Another YEAR of their constant yammering and PDJT WILL have a 50 state blow-out!

Trump. 2020. Landslide. MAGA! KAG! :)
