Most students who committed deadly school attacks over the past decade were badly bullied, had a history of disciplinary trouble and their behavior concerned others but was never reported, according to a U.S. Secret Service study.
In at least four cases, attackers wanted to emulate other school shootings, including those at Columbine High School in Colorado, Virginia Tech University and Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.
The study by the Secret Service’s National Threat Assessment Center is one of the most comprehensive reviews of school attacks since the Columbine shootings in 1999. The report obtained by The Associated Press looked in depth at 41 school attacks from 2008 through 2017.
The information gleaned through the research will help train school officials and law enforcement on how to better identify students who may be planning an attack and how to stop them before they strike.

Things that don’t add up—I seem to recall that Secret Service was involved in some “drills” to prepare for a school shooting.
In fact, I seem to recall some students at Parkland mentioning SS and thinking initially the shooting was a drill. Well my memory is not what it used to be—so I don’t know.
...and then a story like this comes along and reminds us of the pure intellect and skill they possess.
What ever would we do without them?

Ties into a theme that’s cropped so much lately about the deep state and it’s larger umbrella which is bureaucratic bloat as well as overreach; You can observe and say something out of common sense, such as how obvious it is that most of these school shooters showed warning signs. Most of the time reports of those warning signs quickly come out within the first 24 hours. ... but to the bureaucratic state, it isn’t true if someone didn’t lead and investigation and publish a report.

Local martial arts schools who train children should be the lead elements in the effort to eradicate bullying and the bullying mentality (sadism) from the mind of humanity. If we don’t get a handle on this PROBLEM, we should prepare to suffer the consequences of “payback” via school shootings and vigilantism. Then too there is the PROBLEM of institutionalized bullying via that pesky social undertow of Nietscheian ubermenschism. You think might makes right? Welcome to place were the cross hairs grow. Simple. Adhering to the insane policies of the County School Board to coddle the troubled violent kids. Sheriff Israel was a big supporter of that policy and not arresting offenders in school. Hugs and loves would change the offenders into perfect juvenile citizens. Glad he lost his job and the cowardly school cop lost his and is disgraced forever.
I had many discussions about that school cop. I can't believe those who supported his actions when hiding and didn't go in. The very least he could have done is fire his weapon in the air close to the school and possibly distracted the killer. Epic fail!

Schools need attitude adjustment of parents, students, unions, teachers, and administration.
- Students are there to learn - and the first thing they should learn is that when it comes to respecting the rights of others, “Failure is not an option.”
- Parents are the only adult participants in education who naturally have actual responsibility. They are the ones who are both adult and who are affected by the consequences of the failure of their children to launch. Parents have to accept that responsibility. Education is whatever you claim to want - “reparations” or “forty acres and a mule.”
- Teachers and administrators must learn that "Parents are the adults who have responsibility, and parents therefore must have authority.”
That means school choice and home schooling options are mandatory. But parents have to respect the rights of teachers, too - school choice does not extend to choosing to which school their children will disrupt. It means a negotiation in which the parent offers the tuition and a sufficiently motivated student in exchange for the administration and teachers/curriculum the parent demands.
