Elections do, indeed, have consequences.
Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) of blackface fame boasted this week that his party is ready to implement an array of gun control measures in the commonwealth now that Democrats control all three branches of government, and his administration is already "working on" a plan for confiscating so-called "assault weapons" from law-abiding gun owners.
What are the details?
The Washington Post reported Wednesday that Northam wants to bring back eight "common-sense" gun control measures that Republicans shot down during a special session in July, prioritizing "universal background checks, banning the sale of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, restoring the law that limits purchases to one gun a month, and a red flag law that would empower a court to temporarily remove a gun from a person deemed to be a risk to himself or others."
When asked directly about whether he is supportive of confiscating "assault weapons from gun owners" Northam replied, "That's something I'm working [on] with our secretary of public safety. I'll work with the gun violence activists, and we'll work [on] that. I don't have a definitely plan today."
On Tuesday, Virginia voters handed Democrats total control of the commonwealth's General Assembly — flipping both the Senate and the House of Delegates from red to blue majorities. The Democratic Party now controls not only Virginia's legislature, but holds the governorship, lieutenant governorship, attorney general, and both U.S. Senate seats.
Northam believes the results from Tuesday's election shows Virginia is now a solid Democratic stronghold. When a reporter referred to the commonwealth as "a pretty purple state" during a cabinet meeting Wednesday, the governor pushed back, according to The Post.
"The is a blue state," Northam said. "I made that announcement last night...So Virginia's blue. I want everybody to know that." Anything else?
CNBC reported that Everytown for Gun Safety — a gun control-advocacy group largely bankrolled by billionaire Michael Bloomberg — "spent $2.5 million this year to influence voters in Virginia versus approximately $300,000 by the NRA, which has its headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia."

Virginians didn’t vote for this, people from northeast states and foreigners voted for this.
Next will come all kinds of restrictions on hunting of any kind.
AG Herring demonstrated earlier his dislike of hunting but cooled it because of opposition.
Now he will move on it because of the results of the election.
Virginia is doomed to become East California unless the President puts so many lib traitors in prison that those who escape prison will behave like servants of the voters rather than conquerors of the voters.

Don’t forget it was about his first ‘official’ act when he withdrew reciprocity with several states and ‘we’ were in ‘danger’ if carrying.
Even MacAuliffe didn’t agree with that mover BUT it took about 9 months to get it straightened out.
Not sure if ‘related’ but Pennsylvania & Delaware still do not have reciprocity with VA - at least concerning US to them!!
Well, the deep blue areas in the north part maybe deep blue, but really rest of the state isn’t.
All my friends are brown and red.

....a former resident of the Commonwealth... you have The People’s Democratic Republic of Northern Virginia; the larded-with-federal-employees Tidewater region (Norfolk, Va. Beach, etc.) and the Central Virginia region (the Democrat-controlled and screwed-up city of Richmond)...the rest of “real Virginia” is pretty conservative....
Problem:
North East Virginia controls the government.
What really bothers me is that VA was only recently one of the very best states in which to live, especially if you love the outdoors.
Horses, deer, bear, hounds, guns. A great place for the outdoors.
So it really is disturbing that it is rapidly becoming East California.
And my conclusion is that if Soros and his ilk can change Virginia from what it once was to what it soon will become, the entire nation will go to ruin. No state is immune.
The home of Jefferson, Washington, Madison, Monroe, Patrick Henry and so many others has come to this.
Disgusting.
And I believe our education system has more to do with it than any one single thing.

...sadly, I believe you are right....I think I read here on FR or heard it on Laura Ingraham’s show that fully 25 per cent of Virginia’s Senate races did not even have a Republican running for those respective seats... HowinHell are members of the GOP supposed to win these seats if they don’t put up viable candidates...?

They wont go door-to-door to confiscate Virginians guns, they will do it through taxation and liability laws.
I can’t contain my anger. It is a helpless feeling being completely and totally unable to fight back in any way. Just being oppressed and trod on with impunity.
