The CIA was founded explicitly to make sure there was never again a surprise attack on the US that killed thousands of Americans. The CIA obviously, and in spite of having all the information available to analyze, failed on 9/11.
Do just like JFK said and break it into a thousand pieces. Then carefully build an actual Intelligence capability rather than a covert operations agency that operates as it damn well pleases no matter what We The People want and our elected officials permit.
Don't just scratch the surface of the "Ukraine scandal", dig into it with back hoes and you'll find a whole history of corruption shared with the political Deep State dating back to the Clinton Administration.
The CIA went way out of line in Vietnam but was mostly brought back under control afterwards. The fact that it spun out of control again proves it isn't even an agency of the American government any more but instead nation unto itself with duchies and fiefdoms around the world.
No man can serve two masters, it's time to fire the entire CIA and find personnel that will serve the United States of America first and no other master second.
So, I guess this means Bill Barr has a man on it.

I agree with that statement, but probably for an entirely different reason than you might suggest.
I believe that 80% of the people in Washington (of both parties) are in slack-jawed awe of what the Clintons were able to achieve in terms of the magnitude of their lifetime grift receipts. All of them, waiting at the proverbial trough, for their share of whatever giant, bottomless moneypit they could scoop out of. Haiti and Uranium One were perhaps the Clintons ultimate achievements; Ukraine was an irresistable target in terms of the levels of sheer corruption from which they could siphon US aid dollars. What Biden did in the Ukr with Hunter was a tad on the clumsy side; he had no “charitable” foundation, but he *could* seemingly insulate himself in a similar “one step removed” fashion by directing the grift to Hunter. It’s the same modus as was used in the production of the Steele dossier, except the Clintons were again one or two levels above the obvious by utilizing Fusion GPS and the Perkins Coey as a clever cutout mechanism.

This whole article revolves around one man, George Kent, at one point the Charge/ d’affaires in Kiev. But your excerpt and Powerline’s only mention his last name, Kent. Hard to follow the story when it’s that sloppy.
However, that is not what I did. I realized after I posted that I had mistyped Kertz, as it is correctly spelled Kurtz. 8>)
