We're in for a nice day today before the rain arrives and more cold weather.
Hubby and I are going for a long walk, this morning.

Our oldest grandchild is working her PhD program in Minnesota and
we're trying to make sure she's prepared for their winters.

I hope all my fellow veterans have a great day. I spent 15 years in the Infantry, nothing special which seems like a lifetime ago. I was happy to join the Army mid 80’s and would have stayed in longer if I hadn't broken my back. I like to visit the NH Veteran’s cemetery (where my grandfather, a couple of uncles and stepfather are and someday me as well) and reflect. It is such a quiet and beautiful place

My Dad was a Navy Vet of WW2 and Korea. I was born during the Korean War. My Dad was the Veteran, not me. But I appreciate the sentiment, and am forwarding to heaven, where I am sure my Dad is. :-)
