Sorry guys, I REFUSE to join with the LEFT in criticizing Uber. I’ve had great experiences with Uber, and have been in far too many overpriced Taxis to join the Democrat politicians in wanting to bring Uber to its knees.

So, people here - Feel free to join Governor Newsome in California and Mayor Delblasio in NYC (among many other big-city mayors) in bringing down Uber, but I stand with Dan on this one.

Damn freedom. Always running away to Iraq or Afghanistan. Bad freedom!

And no. I won’t show respect. Bombing globocorporate “democracy” into middle eastern shitholes does not automatically entitle someone to respect.

I’m not a big fan of Crenshaw, but you really ought to relax. His comments are specifically related to the situation in California where the communist state government has been trying to legislate independent contractors out of existence.

Please note that those independent contractors will not be working in “good paying jobs with benefits” after they are out of business. They will be unemployed ... or living somewhere else.

Having defended Uber, not Crenshaw, I’ve watched Kaitlin’s video - Crenshaw is a LOSER. Here are two clues to his problems from his Wikipedia page:

“Born to American parents in Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom...Crenshaw spent some time growing up in Ecuador and Colombia, gaining a proficiency in Spanish.[8] He graduated from Colegio Nueva Granada high school in Bogotá, Colombia in June 2002.[8]”

So, first problem, is that he was born in England...not good. One strike against him.

Second problem, the the BIG PROBLEM: He’s fluent in Spanish. I don’t know of any conservatives who are fluent in Spanish - something about that language compromises their values - and we’re seeing it here. Strikes two and three.

I believe he is saying that you can create jobs when the government is not hindering you!

Great video, and damn that Kaitlin’s hot. She nails him. Here in Texas, even though I’m not in his district, I’m getting a lot of mailings from him. Obviously he has bigger things in mind.

As far as gun control, I’m IMMEDIATELY turned off by people who should be on our side, but JUMP IN right when the Left is having a field day after a mass shooting...even if the cause is good for the country, we shouldn’t be aiding them in their propaganda offensives, just after shootings.

The other thing we Texans have to deal with is losing our hard-core conservative Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, who also jumped-in right after a shooting and sounded just like Crenshaw (and he doesn’t even speak Spanish, as far as I know). Now he’s going to find Texas Republican politics a bit more difficult to navigate...probably ending his career.

Yep, the gop is the party of uber.

H-1B: Uber snatches up more foreign-worker visas as it lays off hundreds of employees

Whatever he is saying, it’s not how Trump is trying to brand the party. Trumps not trying to outlaw Uber , but Trumps emphasis is on rebuilding our manufacturing base, with real full time good paying jobs, with benefits. That message won the Midwest and Rust Belt for the GOP. Talking about Uber jobs won’t - that’s the kind of libertarian talk that wins votes at the Cato institute but loses the election. Ask McCain and Romney

Trump is working to change the GOP. Crenshaw needs to get with the program

Show some respect....

McCain also fought. Am I not allowed to criticize him either? How about John Kerry, who earned a Purple Heart? Can’t criticize him?

McCain was way more a bother than this guy is

And Crenshaw is not completely anti Trump at all

Unlike McCain he supports Trump but has on occasion disagreed with him or his tweets

Not a fair comparison

Calling him a loser is silly

He gave his eye up for us

He got elected ...he’s very bright but what I think he as a fairly young person sees is how is this landscape going to look post Trump

I may not agree with him on that either ....in fact I don’t

But he deserves I don’t dump on him personal

I doubt Crenshaw made policy

He followed his duty

He does on the other hand have tremendous respect for the never will quit nature of Islamic jihad fervor and doesn’t think we can ignore it

An opinion I share with him

Sorry, branding the GOP as the party of Uber jobs is a losing strategy. It’s the opposite of MAGA

It’s a matter of branding the party. Trump is rebranding the GOP as a blue collar-friendly party that will rebuild manufacturing. Trump NEVaeR talks about gig jobs because that doesn’t gain votes, people prefer jobs with security. Crenshaw is singing out of the ore-Trump GOP hymn book, the Koch brothers hymnal. He needs to help push Trumps message, not muddy it
