New Yorkers say Andrew Cuomo got ‘played’ by AOC in failed Amazon deal

Gov. Andrew Cuomo was deluged with hate mail following the collapse of his $3 billion deal to build a giant Amazon headquarters in Queens — with many of the missives mocking the fact he’d been bested by freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, The Post has learned.

“You got outsmarted by a bartender … thanks,” Patricia Kaufman scolded the three-term governor, noting the 29-year-old socialist firebrand’s former occupation.

Her email is just one of some 2,200 pieces of correspondence to the governor about the Amazon deal that The Post obtained through a Freedom of Information request.

“What a dysfunctional scenario to unfold under your watch. AOC has played you swiftly. WOW!” David Sorbellini wrote Cuomo.

I don’t think FOI requests should be allowed to make public correspondence from private citizens. At the very least, they should redact the names of the letter-writers.

Como is the governor. Of course, DeBlasio, the mayor, is also a moron.

Yes, the mayor is limited to two terms, so this is De Blasio’s last term (two more long years). I don’t know about the governor.

What the hell are they complaining about? They should all be relieved that they don’t have to waste all that time traveling to work and working during the day, they can now stay at home and spend time with their families while Fredo and AOC take care of their needs.

AOC has nothing to do with the collapse of the Amazon deal. The deal was killed when two New York State legislators in that district who had previously supported the deal changed their tune under pressure from organized labor groups.

That was a major fiasco because under the protocols of New York’s state tax incentive program, the support of the state legislators in the district where a potential project is located is one of the necessary elements of the tax incentive application process.

And in 2024, when she can run for president, these morons will vote for her!

Unfortunately, I think a lot of Americans will vote for her.

Yes, the mayor is limited to two terms, so this is De Blasio’s last term (two more long years).

Unless he pulls the same move that Bloomberg did and switches parties to run for (and win) a third term.
