More Revelations at Former Officer Goines Federal Bond Hearing from No-Knock Raid

Dennis Tuttle and Rhogena Nicholas were the victims.

Dennis Tuttle and Rhogena Nicholas were the victims.

There was a federal bond hearing for former Houston Police Officer Gerald Goines last week after his arrest on 20 November, 2019.

In the hearing for Goines, FBI special agent O'Neil Brown testified about more evidence found in Goines' official, but unmarked Houston Police Department car. From click2houston.com:

Brown’s testimony brought forward new revelations about the investigation into Goines’ alleged activities. He testified that Goines was involved in a sexual relationship with one of his confidential informants. This same confidential informant told investigators the drugs Goines said were purchased from 7815 Harding Street came from a different address — one unrelated to Dennis Tuttle and Rhogena Nicholas, Brown testified. Brown also said investigators discovered a stolen gun in Goines’ unmarked HPD unit and various illegal drugs, including cocaine, and ecstasy.

It appears former officer Goines had more illegal drugs and illegal guns in his car than their victims, the Tuttles had. They had only a small amount of marijuana, and a small amount of cocaine discovered in their modest home, where they had lived quiet lives for the last 20 years since they had married.

Dennis Tuttle, 59,  was a medically retired Navy veteran. Rhogena Nicholas, 58, his wife, a devout Christian who emailed a prayer to her mother every day. Both were killed in the no-knock raid at their 7815 Harding Street Houston residence. based on lies from a neighbor across the street and the false “evidence” by former officer Goines to obtain the warrant.

Goines,  his partner Steven M. Bryant, 46, and the neighbor, Patricia Ann Garcia, 53, were arrested on federal warrants after an FBI investigation prompted by the raid and double homicide.

Surprise! Former officer Goines had more illegal drugs and a stolen gun in his Houston Police Department unmarked car.

He and his partner, Steven Bryant, now face both federal and state charges steming from the raid and killing of the Tuttles.

If ever a case cried out for application of the death penalty under 18USC242 its this one.

Surely suspension with pay is enough punishment for these brave heroes. After all “you want them to go home to their families at night don’t you?” And “We don’t know the whole story” and anyone who criticizes these hero officers is a “cop hater” (Do I really need the sarcasm tag?)

Goines was the lead officer in the investigation and in the raid. Goines was wounded in the neck during the raid. He could not talk. He could not get to his car, where the drugs were. He could not conspire with his partner about what needed to be done, and what CI needed to be used as a foil.

So much depended on that one shot, probably from Dennis’ Tuttle, but it is not super clear.

Over the last 30 years, how many people have been victims of Goines, his partners, the officers he trained?

If he had not been wounded in this raid, I doubt any of this would have come out.

But that is just my opinion.

Goines was undercover narcotics in the Houston PD for over 30 years.

I think all 10 members of the undercover narcotics squad that raided the Tuttles, had been undercover narcotics for over 20 years.

That just begs for corruption.

Don’t worry, they’ll add drones to the mix to get it extra special “correct” next time.
Now imagine Goines with a drone....

He had a throw down gun and throw down drugs. Dirty cop.

My BIL was a cop in the 70’s in Amarillo. He dropped by my house in his cruiser one day and pulled a gun from under the seat, wrapped in saran wrap. He explained it was at throw down gun. Told me everyone carried one. He got disgusted not long after that and quit.

All of this came to light because the victim's families could afford a private investigator.

The HPD refused to cooperate with the DA's office.

People wonder how OJ’s jury could acquit him. At the time I wondered too. Yes, there was racial solidarity involved, no doubt. But as it came out a few years later, the LAPD was no longer Jack Webb’s LAPD, but a pretty crooked outfit. Everyone in the ‘hood knew it. Officers routinely planted evidence, often on guilty perps to get longer sentences.

When the glove was found by an officer who leapt the fence to ‘warn OJ’ people knew that was a lie and therefore discounted the glove. Was it planted? I don’t know, but it was the kind of thing the LAPD had gained a reputation for.

They ended up having to free and pay (with taxpayer money, not their own) hundreds of really bad people who are no doubt enriching LA’s culture to this day—if they’re not back in jail or dead.

They ended up having to free and pay...

1,400 of Goines' cases are under review - nearly every one he's been involved with. At least on ongoing case has been dismissed.

Based on the photographic evidence, Gerald Goines, Steven M. Bryant, and Patricia Ann Garcia are clearly racists.

In addition to murder and deprivation of rights under color of law (18USC242), they are obviously guilty of multiple hate crimes for their actions against Dennis Tuttle and Rhogena Nicholas.

Life in prison, among the general population, with no possibility of parole, is far too lenient a sentence for them.

Weird story...

Zero evidence that any drug dealing or use was going on at the address...The entire story was fabricated...

Sounds like the kop was in the business of killing innocent people to justify his job and maybe his own drug habit...

And the moral to this story is to not piss off one of your neighbors — they can come up with some BS and you get a visit from the local gendarmes. Nothing like a few hundred grand in legal bills to get your nasty neighbor out of that home close to yours, amirite?

Maybe the next folks will be better...
