Wexton bill would use credit card data to track firearms purchases
Washington Post ^ | 30-Nov-2019 | Jenna Portnoy

Rep. Jennifer Wexton, D-10th, wants banks and credit card companies to flag purchases that could signal a person is preparing to carry out a mass shooting, a solution she said could circumvent the usual partisan debate on gun violence.

She introduced a bill that would direct an agency of the Treasury Department to figure out how to track buying patterns the same way the government looks for behavior indicative of money laundering, fentanyl trafficking and human smuggling.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just require a permit to conduct a mass shooting? Could even open a new revenue stream.

So there is a neartotal media blackout on what is going on in VA. As far as I know at least 5 counties have voted near unanimously to declare themselves 2nd Amendment Sanctuary counties. Data is hard to find as the commies in Richmond (The City of Greed) and the press aren’t reporting it, but there’s an uprising in the Old Dominion!

A few mass shootings a year, and hundreds of thousands of gun purchases.

This actually makes sense to her?

Probably so, with her true goals.

“... track buying patterns the same way the government looks for behavior indicative of money laundering, fentanyl trafficking and human smuggling.

But aren’t money laundering, fentanyl trafficking and human smuggling illegal? Last I heard, buying a gun is a Constitutionally-protected right.

Mark Levin Radio Show and he SavageNation Michel Savage show have long had an advertiser that gives a brochure The War Against Cash. The government intends to track every dime by credit and debit-—and they already make banks assume a crime syndicate is involved if anyone withdraws cash sums.

Next, the credit will someday cancelled for any NRA, registered GOP voter, contributor to a GOP campaign, Christian donor and so on.

Firearms, ammo, and range-time - all cash. For everything else I use a cash-back credit card.

Meanwhile the NSA listens to everything we do in violation of the 4th and yet they haven’t prevented anything...

Also if someone goes to the range 2 or 3 times a year and purchases 1000 rounds of ammo are they going to get a visit from the Police? Seriously these people are sick.

Nope...just keeping and bearing. If you weren’t born with one, they don’t want you getting one.
