AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department said the man who shot and killed the mother of his children before turning the gun on himself was in the U.S. illegally.

Felix Barron was convicted of inappropriately touching a 10-year old girl at Allison Elementary School in 2016.

He was subsequently deported.

First responders found Barron, 43, and Veneranda Martinez, 36, dead at the Valero gas station at 6300 block of E. Riverside Drive, near Montopolis Drive.

Austin-Travis County EMS pronounced both dead at 5:45 a.m on Friday.

Despite being deported, police say Barron illegally re-entered the U.S. within the last few months. Garcia says he would continue to stalk and harass the mother of his children, both in person and online. “My mom would always call her morning and night, telling her good morning, close your doors, stay safe,” she said.
Garcia tells KXAN her family tried to help Martinez protect herself, and that Martinez feared for her own safety.
“So many times we filed police reports, trying to let them know there was proof that she was getting stalked, getting accused,” she said. Martinez and Barron had a pending child custody case.

When scum get deported, they should get sent back to their home country without their legs and eyes. That would put an end to the constant re-entries. /spit.

Who is to blame?

Austin and their sanctuary city policies that let these scum reside in our country.

The do nothing black booted thugs standing by while the innocent are stalked and murdered.

And the complicit US Government for standing by while our borders are overrun. Only posturing to gain favored votes from the "latino" masses, instead of protecting America and its border.

I have done my part on the border for 11 years as an individual with like minded friends. The response from our Government were that we were vigilantes and we were starting to be surveyed and followed, in the field and at our homes.

In Texas, you can file police reports all day long but until someone presses charges they're hands are tied.
However,ICE takes a special interest in perverts, even in a sanctuary city like Austin, if somebody reports them.

You are correct! I am surprised that an Austin media outlet would offer so many details about the bad man. I noticed there is no comment section for the story!

It’s the duty of Texas to defend its own borders from ‘invasion’. Which we have now. It’s the duty of Texas to ensure the feds due their job to enforce the border. Austin is a symptom of the failed policies of the r’s and d’s. Illegals wouldn’t be here to this degree if we enforced immigration laws and raided businesses.

That’s why it’s called the People’s Socialist Kakistocracy of Austin, where what is called the “mayor” traveled to San Francisco to learn how to deal with vagrants and the filth they have caused around intersections and underpasses. As a result, the State of Texas had to come in and clean up the garbage.

Constitutionally, defending the nation’s borders is the sole duty of the Almighty Federal Government.

If they can not be made to do their legal obligations, it is our duty to replace them.

Peacefully at the ballot box, if possible.

If not? Well, it’s still our duty.

It is the Constitutional duty of a state to prevent ‘invasion’. States have always had the duty to first respond, they and Congress are the only powers to get us into ‘war’. We have had a ‘invasion’ for decades.

You sure? I’m quite willing to be wrong here, but didn’t the Federal Government sue a state to prevent them from usurping Federal power by doing just that?

We tried. Unfortunately, RINO Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson allowed law suits on the wall back during Bush.

As for ICE, snort. Our little podunk jail holds 40 illegals for ICE and US Marshals to pick up 2-3 times a week. All they do is pick them up at one jail and moves them to another jail and then on to another one, etc. Sometime in there, they get a hearing and their US appointed lawyer gets a delay so it’s back out on the streets again until their next crime. 15 years ago on FR, there was an article with an illegal who bragged about crossing into McAllen, TX 450 times. Guarantee she’s still crossing over and laughing at ICE.

No thanks to Perry, we have DREAMERs laughing, too.
