Report will clear FBI of misdeeds in Russia probe
LA Times ^ | 12 07 2019 | Del Quentin Wilber

The Justice Department’s internal watchdog has determined that political bias did not influence the federal investigation of potential links between Russia and the Trump campaign in 2016, according to people familiar with the matter, countering White House claims of deliberate partisan influence.

Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who will release his long-anticipated report Monday, also found that the FBI had enough evidence to justify obtaining a foreign intelligence warrant in 2016 to conduct secret surveillance of a former Trump campaign advisor who had multiple contacts with Russian officials, the people said.

The report’s findings are expected to effectively reject or dismiss the most explosive allegations from President Trump and his allies — that FBI officials and agents broke rules and laws in their pursuit of evidence, and deliberately sought to derail Trump’s candidacy.

This report could lay out absolute, indisputable truth that the FBI was dirty as hell and the MSM will still say it exonerates everyone.

The Justice Department’s internal watchdog has determined . . . .

This opening descriptor gives the whole game away.

The lamestream and Never Trumpers have been flailing away with these kinds of articles all week. Its reaching a panic crescendo as the weekend dissolves into Monday and savvy, legitimate investigators are sharpening their tray of surgical tools.

Looks like the goofy impeachment mania may be replaced with genuine political crimes coming under public scrutiny online and on TV.

We have reached that peculiar state that third world countries enjoy where political corruption is shrugged off as business as usual

They had enough evidence because they made it up. Can we get rid of this IG now?

Let me guess without even reading the full story: anonymous sources.

Am I right?

Why are they anonymous? Is it a crime to talk about it before Monday?

Didn’t think so....

The LAughable times say what? I will wait for the report. Expect talking points Monday morning and a few more distractions to keep the news low in the IG realm.

If this is accurate reporting It’s not going to take long before we have a unmanageable society. Nobody will trust anything the entire political class or any of the bureaucracy. They will basically be telling us it’s raining while pissing on our legs

The LAT hasn’t seen the IG report. Pure spin from Comey, McCabe, Baker, etc. Ratcliffe has seen the unredacted FISA. He has a different opinion on what the report will show.

Will you do the same? And by your definition - it has to be a killer.

And for the record - I really hope it is - I just don't think it will be.

I suspect the bottom line will be, 'Mistakes were made'.

'Mistakes were made' --- I hate hearing that sentence and knowing it really applies.

It means we also live in one of those rotten useless 'hell holes'.

Spot on. What did the MSM tell us about the Mueller investigation before the report was issued? Let’s see the report, then I will judge what it says.

. . . FBI officials and agents broke rules and laws in their pursuit of evidence, and deliberately sought to derail Trump’s candidacy.

Certainly this is the sentence that makes the charge directly--and the internal minions that perpetrated this treason are terrified.

The public spotlight is about to swing over them and bathe them in bright white light.
