It seems obvious: Restrict gun access and people will be safer. Everything from gun bans to background checks keep being pushed as the solutions.
But theory and practice don’t always match. Too often restrictions don’t stop criminals and only disarm law-abiding citizens, particularly poor minorities. This only makes life easier for criminals.

The purpose of registration is not to remove weapons from the hands of criminals. It is to remove weapons from the hands of victims.
As the case of the Saudi FL shooter revealed, mass murderers typically have no criminal record.
No gun control law on earth is going to stop them. We can’t read people’s minds or divine their future intentions. DUH
Their intention IS to take guns from honest, non-violent citizens and leave them in the hands of violent criminals.

Vermont residents have been able to carry concealed since 1788. Anyone under age 16 needs a note from a parent.

Well, then there was the Christchurch shooter who confessed to wanting the New Zealand gun control laws tightened after his bloody rampage and that he apparently got his firearms licence without having a home interview conducted as required by New Zealand law at the time and also using only online chatroom friends as references.

For a state with such appropriate gun laws, how does Vermont find its self home to such a pantheon of Communist ding bats?
Gun grabbers always peddle the same promise that just a few more laws will make the murders go away, but they never do.
The Anti gun types, the gun grabbers, need to be removed from American society. They are a blight, a plague, on the Republic and upon our liberty.
We’ve been overrun with Massholes and NYers (like Bernie). When the courts decided students could vote where they attended school and that state senator’s would be apportioned by population (rather than two for each county), that led to one county controlling everything.
Where did the Saudi shooter get his gun? He is not a citizen and therefore cannot pass a background check.
