Yep. I said they would impeach after they took the House. Yep a lot insisted Hillary was too ill to run or too ill to possibly stand and debate Donald Trump for two hours ... or she would drop out and be replaced ... or that RBG was actually dead. :-)

True, and I readily admit to being one of them.
I never for one second believed the Democrats would be stupid enough to actually vote to impeach, given that not a SINGLE Republican will join them in their political suicide pact.
In fact, despite this top Democrat aide’s comment, I STILL refuse to believe there are enough Democrats moronic enough to pass this blatantly partisan impeachment farce into the eager hands of the Republican Senate.
Not only would impeachment die in the Senate, but it would be a stinging rebuke to the Democrat Party, branding them with the taint of abject partisanship just months away from a national election, and all but assuring President Trump’s re-election in 2020.
Moreover, a Senate trial carries with it substantial risk of criminal exposure for many ex-Obama officials and top Democrat legislators, who broke numerous laws conspiring to frame Donald J Trump with weaponized intelligence, fabricated evidence, illegal warrants, subpoenas, leaks and smears, and false testimony.
So, if the Democrats do vote to impeach tomorrow, I will dutifully chow down on my serving of crow - I never thought it would happen.
