Pollak: Line by Line, A Complete Debunking of the Democrats’ Articles of Impeachment
Breitbart ^ | December 10, 2019 | Joel B. Pollack

Democrats released their two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday, and they are a complete joke.

Not only did the Democrats back away from charging Trump with bribery, obstruction of justice in the Mueller investigation, campaign finance violations, treason, or any of the other wild claims they floated, but the two articles themselves are fraudulent, based on blatantly false claims of law and fact.

Line by line, here they are:

ARTICLE I: ABUSE OF POWER

The Constitution provides that the House of Representatives shall have the sole Power of Impeachment and that the President “shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” In his conduct of the office of President of the United States — and in violation of his constitutional oath faithfully to execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed — Donald J. Trump has abused the powers of the Presidency, in that:

Using the powers of his high office, President Trump Solicited the interference of a foreign government, Ukraine, in the 2020 United States Presidential election. This is false. Trump never discussed the 2020 election with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, nor did he ask them to interfere in our politics. That is simply Democrats’ spin, based on the complaint of the so-called “whistleblower,” which was disproved by the release of the actual transcript of Trump’s conversation with Zelensky. Trump asked Ukraine to look into its widely-reported interference in the 2016 election, and to look into the circumstances in which then-Vice President Joe Biden demanded,

The Dems do have two solid impeachable offenses:

Article 1: We hate you Donald Trump.

Article 2: We can’t beat you any other way Donald Trump.

President Trump is obviously guilty oin both counts.

The Dems do have two solid impeachable offenses:

Article 1: Incompetence. - Trying to extort the Ukraine in a Quid Pro Quo scheme where the extortee had never been apprised of the Quid. Thus President Trump is so incompetent that he cannot even run a valid extortion scheme.

Article 2: Stupidity. - President Trump was clearly too stupid to watch Joe Biden’s Youtube video and LEARN how to extort a foreign country using U.S. aid. All the elements were clearly and fully explained by then Vice President Joe Biden, but Trump was too stupid to learn.

Impeachment isn't a legal proceeding, not even one of logic in this case. It is political theater for those who embrace it.

I fear the outcome when all decisions political are driven by media polls.

Political theater or not, grounds based on facts and reality are needed.

The Senate should immediately ask Roberts to throw out the entire thing and stop wasting resources on this.

That is why the grounds are so vague. Just enough to appear legitimate to the dims grass roots useful idiots.

This will be drawn out until RBG dies and is replaced.

Durham is a prosecutor so he might not issue a report. But Barr said today that he expects the Durham investigation to be concluded by late spring or early summer.

Lemme see if I understand this...Democrats have no choice but to nominate Biden or else the ‘collusion with Ukraine’ narrative doesn’t hold up.

An important aspect of any criminal charge against a person is whether they showed through their actions that they possessed “mens rea” or an awareness that what they were doing is wrong.

Calling the Ukrainian President with more than a dozen people listening to the call shows that the President had no criminal intent in the call. Asking Zelensky to cooperate with the US Attorney General in the investigations also shows that he was not attempting to do something he understood to be illegal. The benign explanation is that he wanted to be assured that Ukraine was no longer as corrupt as he had heard they were in the past from the examples he was familiar with. He did not want to give aid to a corrupt country.

There is no evidence that anything discussed was about the 2020 election in any way. There is no basis in fact for the Democrats to even bring up this point.

If Barr were a true rascal the findings with indictments would be released July 6, one week before the Communist Party congress has their convention

You have an interesting point there. There are so many ways the rats can spin this.

But what if Hitlery parachutes in to save the day and gets the nomination? Then what? The rats can then say Trump cost him the nomination, which is evidence of election interference.

Regardless of the spin, the only ones believing it will be the far left useful idiots that keep their eyes glued to CNN and their ears up against PBS radio.

Your words that say President Trump wanted to be asssured that the new President of Ukraine, Zelensky, wanted to end the years of corruption in Ukraine have important merit. I think this was the important reason for the phone call. Trump wanted to take a reading of this newly elected President. I think President Trump has developed a sixth sense about character. I think the investigations into Burisma Holdings and Hunter Biden are happening and being done in a way that there is no interference. Both Hunter and Joe may have some explaining to do. Too bad the wheels of justice take so long.

Trump once recorded a pro football game without the express written permission of the football commissioner. Peach fo-ti-fi!
