When did the election for Governor finally get settled? I thought the prior governor was asking for a recount.

Having watched far more than my share of prison documentaries, I've always found it very hard to picture the typical ex-con worrying very much about registering to vote and getting to a polling place, or going through the hassle of "absentee balloting" or "voting by mail."

Don't worry. Democrat activists will do all that for him, including filling out his ballot and casting it.

Look to California's "Ballot Harvesting" to see how this type of vote fraud is accomplished.

*IF* the POS is referring to Christian faith, someone remind him that the Bible, God and probably Jesus are really very probably very much against abortion, and abortion mills. Beshear believes in the former and accepts blood money from the latter.

Effing liar. Hypocrite. I wouldn’t stand too close this minion of the Devil just in case God decides to cast brimstone and lightening on his head.

From the interwebs:
“In his first TV ad of the fall campaign, Beshear played up how his grandfather and great-grandfather were Baptist ministers. The spot, which launched on Monday, features the attorney general volunteering at a food pantry and his family praying at their dinner table”.

Mentions his faith then lies about the real reason he’s doing this. Typical ‘rat.

Here’s a list by state. I think in KY they were already able to get back voting rights via individual petition.

Case by case basis is fine. Blanket pardon for all felons is a theft of legislative power.

I think in most states ANY felon can vote either immediately after release or at worst after completion of probation or parole. No waiting period required.

About 10 states reinstate conditionally based on the crime.

I think 2 (Kentucky and Iowa) only reinstate based on an individual petition.

If he really forgave them he’d restore their 2a rights.

But this is just pandering.

He could do a case by case restoration, which would probably be more accurate.

“Lol. Ex-cons don’t particularly vote RAT. Few vote at all. You need to find some other way to fix the elections. You POS.”

There’s a reason why they want these people “eligible”. Once registered, they’ll vote ... it might not be them actually voting, but they’ll somehow show up to vote. Chances are they’ll be registered in one of those precincts where 120% of the registered voters show up and 100% of the 120% somehow vote for the Rat ... kind of like what happens in Philadelphia.

Terry “The Punk” McAuliffe did it in VA during his reign of terror ... it helped them become more blue! Sure KY is different, but they always find ways to remain relevant. Before you know it, the state becomes purple ... the idiots in the R party never learn.

The legislative branch GAVE him the executive authority to do this.

Article 1 section 145 of Kentucky constitution:

Persons convicted in any court of competent jurisdiction of treason, or felony, or bribery in an election, or of such high misdemeanor as the General Assembly may declare shall operate as an exclusion from the right of suffrage, but persons hereby excluded may be restored to their civil rights by executive pardon

It does not say that he has to do this on a case by case basis.

Agree or disagree I think this is well within his constitutional authority.

Oh but the republican was a rude guy and pissed of the teachers. And Roy Moore might have dated some teenage girls in the 70s in Alabama when he was a lawyer in his 30s. (and I bet every parent said hell yeah, lawyers make good money, you go girl - being 70s Alabama)

Republicans are better than that - whole winning thing

Once a sentence is complete all rights should be restored-—ALL of them. If the laws were limited to what they should be and sentences that were appropriate were actually served none of this woudl be an issue to being with.

When one votes to elect Democrats, one votes for what Democrats do. And there is no one that has the sense to get out of the rain that does not know what Democrats do when they are in power. You can alibi for them until the cows come home, and they can cry their eyes out, but the fact remains....
