This is weaponization of the mentally ill for political purposes, just like transgenders.
She has severe anxiety, OCD, and Aspbergers. She fixated on the environmental creed, and she admits she feels better telling others what to do in order to save the world. (It is common for the severely anxious to try to impose order on the world rather than treat their own anxiety.)
This makes her a passionate spokesperson for the movement. She BELIEVES in it. She has no life outside of it.
She’s also a great spokesperson/human shield. Looks 7, sounds 27. If someone criticizes her, they can be shamed for: attacking a child, attacking the mentally ill, being mean to a woman. She was picked up by liberals in power who saw her single minded dedication and passion. And they fueled her astroturf movement.

Her parents are involved. The girl has had eating disorders for years. She’s had selective mutism. She has refused to eat and speak until her parents quit their jobs that required traveling (theater and opera). Now they had no income. This made them perfect stage parents for a mentally ill child activists - they have no other support.
