Peterson isn’t going to vote against his constituents. It would be political suicide.

So his vote against impeachment was expected.

House is going to pass it anyway, so it really doesn’t matter if a few dems defect. I’d almost rather have them vote with their party, easier to get them out and give the house back to the pubs.

The dems on the house are dead in the water anyway, if 16 switched parties, at least they’d have some power. But most dems are true beleivers, and wouldn’t switch to the party they hate with a vengeance.

As a former Minnesotan, it has always surprised me that Rep. Peterson didn’t switch parties. He has always been a common sense person, something not allowed in the democrat party.
