The Democratic National Committee (DNC) made a glaring omission from its new ad campaign urging "unity" among 2020 candidates.
A new fundraising effort launched on Monday for the DNC's "Democratic Unity Fund" features 10 presidential hopefuls taking turns reading the same message.
"I'm running to be your nominee, but no matter who ends up on that stage as our nominee in the convention, we need the whole Democratic Party to unite if we want to take back the White House and win seats all across the country and deliver a presidency consistent with our Democratic values," the candidates told viewers. "Unity is what this moment in history demands of us right now because the stakes have never been higher. As Democrats, we know there is so much more that unites us than divides us. And next year, we have the opportunity to make sure that our shared values are represented."
However, many observers noticed other 2020 candidates were missing from the ad, primarily Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii.
Gabbard has ruffled feathers within the Democratic Party in recent weeks by carrying on a fiery feud with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who suggested that the Hawaii congresswoman was being groomed by the Russians. She also angered party leaders by voting "present" on last week's articles of impeachment against President Trump.
But critics pointed out how the ad included Deval Patrick, who polled at 0 percent in the latest Fox News poll.
"So Deval Patrick gets included [but] @TulsiGabbard does not?" The Hill chief Washington correspondent Saagar Enjeti asked.
"Strange, a certain woman of color is missing from this video," journalist Michael Tracey reacted.
"Democrats come together in 'Unity' to exclude Tulsi," The Nation contributor Aaron Maté tweeted.
The Gabbard campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News for comment.

Everybody better toe the Party Line. Don’t try any of that diversity stuff around here — your differing viewpoint is not welcome. The Party needs everyone to speak with one voice.
The prize for the biggest BS story for 2019 has many possibles. The story that Pelosi was going to let the House Members make up their own minds is a very strong contender.
You better believe they were told you vote for impeachment or we make your life hell. The NJ rep even had to leave the party because he knew what was coming his way. The fact that he did it so far in advance and so public probably saved his life.
It has begun. The dem party will be trashing her every way it can.

That’s what she gets for her fealty to the Democrat Stalinist’s. There isn’t anyone that they won’t screw over.
I hope not. Don't give people who are not comfortable with Trump, but completely disgusted with the Democrats an option. I know that may sound like heresy, but a lot of people find Trump off-putting, but could not bring themselves to vote for Hillary, and will not vote for Warren or Sanders.
Voting “present” on impeachment was the last straw.
The HuffPo (I read it so you don’t have to) has an article about the Governor of HI pushing for her to resign due to spending too much time on the campaign trail. Ideological diversity will not be tolerated!
MSN and Newsweek reported Two days after President Donald Trump gave Representative Tulsi Gabbard “respect” for casting a neutral vote on his impeachment, she tweeted an earlier interview in which she said he was unfit to serve as commander in chief.
If one little molecule was left in President Trump of the “be a good little boy and play nice” childhood teaching, I hope it was flushed out of him after that.

Democrats hate women of color. That should be one of the Republican ads running in 2020.

Yeah she would have been the most challenging opponent for Trump...she has some sense, an ultra rare commodity amongst demonrats....
Tulsi appeals to a niche (one that includes some Republicans), but not to most Democrats. Somehow I don’t think she would have much appeal in a general election. She’s wouldn’t be hated by most voters (though hated by some in her own party) but she wouldn’t generate much real enthusiasm or get voters excited enough to go to the polls.
