That was my sense, too.
Kudos to the McD’s owner who stood up for his employees.
Subdued JackBoot (a.k.a. ~ Nazi) that was gonna ‘show them’ for dissing him in some meaningless way.
I’m believing this until I’m proven wrong.
My problem with Colin Kapernick has never been that he is wrong about there being bad cops out there.
There are.
My problem with him is that he chose to express his opinions by taking a crap all over the US Flag and National Anthem. He does not seem to grasp that many good men and women died fighting under that flag to protect his right to criticize the police.
And that he seems to believe that ALL cops are bad.
But denying that there are bad actors who need to be weeded out of police forces is just sticking your head in the sand.
Let’s call it the ‘SMOLLETT SYNDROME’, and everyone will know what that means!....................
Before social media, these kinds of stories would just die. But now they get spread around by friends at work and then develop to the point at which the story gets out of control. A long time ago, the story might reach the boss, who would inquire about it and learn it was baloney.
But now, before the boss can kill it, the story makes the leap to Twitter and Facebook and--boom--it is telegraphed around the world.
Looks like their are Demorats in the KCPD.
A lie can travel halfway around the world before the truth can get its boots on.
Just people looking for attention.
Fact is, in this day and age, it would be nearly impossible to pull an actual "hate crime" off for real. For example, everything at a McDonalds restaurant is recorded on video. Everything. The drive through, the kitchen area, the counter area, the seating area. Even the parking lot.
No fast food worker at any major chain is going to be able to scrawl a hate message on a paper cup without it being on camera.
Sometimes the universal surveillance society bites the police in the ass. This must be the reason why SWAT teams and the FBI like destroying surveillance cameras as a first step in a raid and why, if you do put in your own cameras, you better have some extra small size ones hidden so that you can record the obvious ones being destroyed by criminals on either side.
He shoulda stuck with starsux.
Thats it
Im calling the cops next time
‘Mc’Munchhausens Syndrome ?
LOL!.....................that’s great!................
1. Why isn’t the cop being named?
2. Why is his picture not shown?
Public employee, not secret.
Smart owner. Anyone facing the public these days has to know how to serve customers, but also protect themselves from the public.
BTW he was 23, a former MP, and had been a cop for 2 months.
Why should he be allowed to be anonymous so he can try to get hired as a cop somewhere else?
It’s true...everybody wants to be some kind of a victim today. I see it all over, in 1,000 different ways. We used to admire brave, accomplished people in our society, people who did things. Now we admire victims.
No, the police chief who posted the message on the internet, declined that offer because it wasn't good enough to undo the damage.
I’m a pro-police person.
Even as a former drug user, I like cops.
That being said, there are bad cops out there. Very bad. They need to be weeded out ASAP, and it’s sad, because cops are needed. There will always be bad cops, because people have to work to be good. I think our natural bent is towards not good.
Surprised he didn’t do it at a Chick-Fil-A. For even greater media effect.
