It doesn't seem all that long ago the media and liberal academia were predicting economic meltdown in the aftermath of Trump's election. Liberal "economist" Paul Krugman, for example, famously predicted after Trump's election, "So we are very probably looking at a global recession, with no end in sight. I suppose we could get lucky somehow. But on economics, as on everything else, a terrible thing has just happened."
Well, the left has been repeatedly proven wrong about Trump and the economy, and once again, it's pure joy to point out how wrong they were.
With the latest unemployment statistics in, we can see that Trump has presided over the lowest average unemployment rate of any president (at the same point in their presidency) in recorded history. Philip Klein of the Washington Examiner notes, "Since February 2017, Trump's first full month in office, the monthly unemployment rate has averaged 3.9%. No prior president has averaged less than 4% over the first 35 months of his presidency. The closest was Dwight Eisenhower, when the rate averaged 4.3% between February 1953 and December 1955."

About a month ago, the BLS folks came out with a statistic on handicapped people....who were seeking employment. They noted it was the lowest unemployment rate since they started collecting data in the 1960s. It doesn’t matter where you look, it’s just fantastic data.
If this happened with a Democrat POTUS, it would be all you would ever hear and read until the November 2020 Election.
For his 2016 prediction, Krugman should immediately turn in his diploma and quietly, privately perform seppuku.

Nope, Paul Krugman isn't dumb (well, he kind of is, but in this case) ... he's always been insincere.
And yet the media will continue to whine. Of course new jobs were a bit down this month. There’s nobody left to hire.

Cue the FR complainers with their Dear Santa Claus lists that are only important to them.
That's because of the drop in unemployment during his term, but much of that was replacing three high paying full time jobs with five part time jobs without benefits. President Obama himself said those manufacturing jobs weren't coming back even while preparing to send more out of the country with TPP. We all remember President Obama asking what magic wand Trump would use to bring those jobs back.
Well, abracadabra, President Obama. President Trump has had success bringing those jobs back, and with the retail apocalypse hitting, it couldn't have come at a better time.
Imagine how things would be if Trump had had full GOP support since his election.
The GOP would OWN Washington for the foreseeable future.
Instead, much of the GOP has been and continues to be obstructionist.
It is because O’bungholes random taxes and reams of regulations have finally kicked in
