Sounds to me like the point is that Trump is just complaining and not doing anything about it.
Soooooo what is the “thing” he is supposed to do?
Send in the US military to topple a duly-elected state government for passing s*itty bills?
That is why Va has state courts, and then Federal courts, and then SCOTUS.
He is not here to make up for Va’s failures. This “let someone else fix it for me, I have better things to do” attitude is why Va is where it is.
If the Va Government resorts to heavy-handed violence or to use the Nat. Guard to enforce it, then he has some options, but he has no responsibility to become a member of their legislator no more than Obama could in Texas.
You don’t think that removing democrats from office is vital?

The most important thing President Trump can do is have enough coattails this election to sweep them all out of their positions of assumed power over us.
Because, to quote Vince Lombardi: “Winning isn’t everything; it’s the only thing!”
What he’s doing is appointing judges who will uphold the constitution and reminding people that yes, the Democrats absolutely DO want to trample on your 2nd amendment rights. Vote accordingly.
And that is my question, what can he do about it?
IF nothing then he needs to put his efforts into something that will benefit the American people and let us handle Virginia. Stay the hell out of it and reign in the military.
We live in a federal system where certain rights are reserved to the states. These laws will be taken into the courts. That is why it is so important to have a president who will appoint conservative federal judges, from bottom to the top.
Trump is using his “bully pulpit” to shine the light on this problem in VA. He is right. The first step is reelecting Trump. He only lost by 112,000 votes in 2016 in VA. I believe that this ignites a storm and he will win VA. Next, the people of VA need to take back the legislature and get rid of “Coonman.” Then they can get rid of the laws that violate the 2nd amendment. Of course, all bets are off if they try going from door to door confiscating guns.
Then the administration can file a friend of the court brief on behalf of the plaintiffs and that is all he can do.
It’s crappy rhetoric on many levels because it reduces us to being bad children, “You’ve been bad children and now we are going to take your guns away.” Second it skips over the fact that the Left/Establishment is and has turned us into second class citizens and that is the Boomer part, they cannot believe that. Thirdly the Deep State agencies are contributing to the political theatre which is to further reduce our status as citizens even humans, pure communism, again the Boomer cannot believe this is happening.
