Fits what I saw back in the 70’s. BIL was a cop. Showed me his throw-down gun, wrapped in Saran Wrap. All the cops had one in their cruiser to plant if they were forced to shoot someone.The TV series "Blue Knight" had an episode where the main cop, "Bumper Morgan", told of a popular officer was involved in a bad shoot. His friends planted a handgun on the perp. When the coroner turned the guy over, there was seven guns under the body.
