Absolutely...the current spiritual war is a a rebellion against God...and abortion is at the very core....against His “in the beginning” very creation. LGBT and the pride rainbow, against the very nature of God’s plan. In your face rebellion.
Platitudes from the confines of the Oval Office are worthless unless acted upon. Get a grip and research the action Our President took shortly after his speech having a substantive, life affirming impact on California and Texas.
Yes, it is spiritual war we see in the specter of the sterile womb of a new Godless state rising now in
America and the West. We see this today in the twisting of our own Constitution into laws protecting the murders of the unborn.
After all they often remind us that we are to “render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s and to God that which is God’s” thereby making the State absolute in all matters not religious and the religious to theological matters only.
But laws that disobey God and mock his image bearers, if honored by His people, are rebellion against God. Are we then to consider this referral to Matthew 22 a commandment to submit in conscience to Caesar if he reaches for more authority than God has ordained him. Please consider this fictitious scenario.
Some Pharisees and lawyers came to Jesus and asked Him, “Teacher, we know that you are true; teach the way of God truthfully, and care for no man, for you do not regard the position of men. Tell us then, what do you think? Is it lawful to resist Caesar when he decrees that every woman must be permitted the choice to kill her unborn child?”
But Jesus aware of their malice said, “Why put me to the test you hypocrites? Show me an unborn child.” And so they brought from the refuse heaps of the city the remains of an unborn child.
Then Jesus said to them, “In whose image is he and what is the inscription?” And being versed in the Law, they said to Him, God’s. For it is written, “In the image of God He made him.
Then Jesus said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar those things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s”
So we obey human authorities until Caesar demands something that belongs to God, in this case the lives of innocent unborn children. The command in America today is, “You shall not save the life of an unborn child when the mother and the doctor agree to put her or him to death.” It is at this point the government we have elected has abandoned its God given authority to legislate over the Christian.
As powerfully as we are enjoined to obey God by rendering unto Caesar what he is rightfully due, we are equally powerfully enjoined to render to God what is His.
If rendering to Caesar requires paying taxes, I suggest that rendering to God would require at least non violent attempts to protect the lives of unborn children.
