CDC is monitoring 110 possible coronavirus cases across 26 states in US

U.S. health officials are currently monitoring 110 people across 26 states for the coronavirus, including the five patients who contracted the deadly infection in China and brought it back to America.

The disease, which has killed at least 81 people in China and sickened more than 2,800 worldwide, isn’t spreading within the community in the U.S. and the risk to the public right now is still considered low, Dr. Nancy Messonnier, the director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, told reporters on a conference call Monday.

“We understand that many people in the United States are worried about this virus and how it will affect Americans,” Messonnier said. “Every day we learn more, every day we assess to see if our guidance or our response can be improved.”

The number of “patients under investigation” in the U.S. has almost doubled from the 63 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said were under surveillance on Thursday. The CDC says 32 people have tested negative for the virus.

“While that number is 110, we are certainly prioritizing based on [patients under investigation] that might be at higher risk,” Messonnier said.

The CDC confirmed Sunday a fifth U.S. case of the virus — a patient in Maricopa County, Arizona who recently traveled to Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the disease’s outbreak and where the majority of cases have been reported.

Messonnier said the CDC has screened roughly 2,400 people flying from Wuhan to five major U.S. airports and is considering expanding its screening. The agency increased its travel warning for all of China, asking people traveling to practice “enhanced precautions.”

“This outbreak is unfolding rapidly and we are rapidly looking at how that impacts our posture at the border. We’re certainly considering broadening of that screening,” she said.

Stop all incoming people who have been in China, or quarantine them all upon arrival.

CDC has said several times they will take their guidance from the WHO.

Why does the most technologically advanced country in the world defer to/take guidance from a corrupt international body?

That’s not America First.

We need an intervention.

This is what I’ve been trying to say since last week when we found out that the incubation period can be from 7 to 10 days. These people in 26 states have likely been infected for over a week!
It’s already here. Likely near you. You’re not going to die, but you probably will get sick

Which explains why China has several cities on full lockdown.

They KNOW.

We are fools to take this lightly.

Chinese viruses occur all the time...yeah, we tinfoil hatters are crazy in our talk of this conspiracy. Soros loves people, as does Obama and Jarrett and Chinese dictators...it would make them cry if people died.

We need to make noise. Trump needs to know we have his back on this. He’s so concerned with the stock market, to hell with the stock market we want to stay alive. Light up the White House switch board day and night, email, letters. Trump wanted Obama to close the borders during Ebola, and this is far more contagious. When/where is his next rally? Can we get in touch with local groups there to make signs? We must be persistent enough to get through the wall of billionaires and global business interests surrounding the President.

Still just 5 but if the % infected to non infected holds that would be just shy of 15 cases in the 110

Look on the bright side. It’s made in China, and we know about the longevity of those products.

There is still only 5 confirmed. The 110 is suspect

I had the flu a year ago and was delerious for three days, and quite sick for two weeks. My husband almost called an ambulance. I have no memory of those three days. I can’t imagine having a flu that is worse, so I hope I don’t get this one.

If the R0 is 3.8 that means those fifteen have infected another 60. Those 60 will infect 230. Those 230 will infect 875. Those 875... and on and on and on till everyone has had it within about a month or two.

The numbers are BS; the gov’t lies to quell panic. The WHO is a junk organization, and if they’re giving direction to CDC, we’re in for an epidemic.

Quarantine is what works.

Governments can either greatly inconvenience an extremely small number - or take a small risk that millions will die.

Everyone coming from China should have gone into forced (locked in) quarantine from day one.

One of these years one of these viruses is going to kill 20% of the planet.

We know you can test negative and later test positive.

My question relates to the claim from a whistleblower or fan fiction writer.

If it is a two step process whereby it is designed to be flu and then kick in and you drop dead...at what point will a test pick it up? Flu stage or not until the 2nd stage?

Based on what I am seeing from Docs and Scientists on twitter...your best bet is to protect yourself like you would from the flu and develop a protocol to reduce a cytokine storm.
