Mark Steyn to Mitt Romney: 'Look in the mirror, you are the reason for Trump'
Fox News ^ | February 6 2020 | Charles Creitz

Author and columnist Mark Steyn told "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Thursday that the ironic fact lost in the firestorm surrounding Sen. Mitt Romney's vote to convict President Trump of abuse of power this week is that Romney is the reason Trump is in the White House.

Steyn told host Tucker Carlson that Romney never "punched back" when attacked by the media or Democrats during his failed 2012 bid for the presidency.

When voters took note of that habit, they wanted a candidate who would do the exact opposite and not bow to the opposition when attacked. Those voters, Steyn said, gravitated toward Trump when he appeared on the scene.

NO NO. Hillary is the reason. If she had only won, why there would be no Trump. It’s all Hillary’s fault.

He proved with his own actions WHY he couldn’t win the presidency and Trump could. He showed the flaws in character and ethics and morals and put on display EVERYTHING that is wrong with the deep state and the old establishment Republicans that go along with it.

He has become the new living symbol after McCain of exactly the kind of man we do NOT want running for President from our party.. The kind of man we do not want to have power or influence in our party. The kind of swamp creature we don’t want in government at all.

Romney is everything I don’t want in a Republican.

Everything.

He is obsessed with being like democrats. He is sold out on the border. He won’t stand up to democrats, but he is all too eager to stab Republicans (figuratively) in the back.

When he ran for President, he wasn’t really trying, and he LOST.

Now, he attacks Trump.

The guy is a true loser.

I am really, really sorry I voted for the guy.

I am sorry.

That WON’T happen again.

Ever.

One of the most accurate and profound things Steyn has ever said.

Romney debated Zero three times. The first debate Romney surely led Zero. The second and third was a complete turn around. Zero was the leader. Some one must have ‘talked’ to Romney between the first and second debate. IMHO

Romney’s loss to Obama is what made the Trump Revolution possible.

In retrospect, giving the Obama failure four more years was an acceptable tradeoff given what Trump has already accomplished and will accomplish in eight years.

If Romney (Obama lite) had eked out a victory in 2016, the chances of his re-election in 2020 would be nil. We could end up with Obama’s second term anyway, or (gasp) Madame President. America’s slide into a socialist/globalist pit of failure would continue unabated.

Romney is acting like a pacifist wife-beater. Turn the other cheek no matter what the offense against him is outside the house, but once he gets home with his “family” he’ll start hitting.

GOP and Utah: "You can trust Willard Romney and George Soros.
They are not like the others.
RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE will and must remain for your children.
Bow before your Brutus Mitt and his controllers."

Is it not far long past time for the "Party of Donald Trump."

“If Mitt doesn’t like Trump, Mitt, look in the mirror, you are the reason for Trump.”

Been saying this since Trump won. Look in the mirror, morons.

Why is Mitt Romney a Republican?

Because there is no room in the Democrat Party for old white male LIBERALs who aren't gay, and may have some religious beliefs (Bundists excepted of course, because they just pretend to have a religious affiliation).

Trump took over the Republican Party in a hostile takeover. It’s now the Republican brand but the Reform Party policy.

Since Mitt could have voted “present” to the same (nil, in a vote requiring 2/3 of those present to convict) effect as a “not guilty” vote, Mitt blew his chance to salve his conscience without supporting the Democrats.

Maybe Mitt figured he could help knock off one or two squish Republican Senators, making himself the indispensable man after November.

I think Mutt romney’s limp wristed character contributed to the conservative desire for a fighter, perhaps not the sole reason but certainly a contributing factor. Paired with that wimp Paul Ryan and combined they got pummeled.
