Pope Francis has called tax cuts for the wealthy a 'structure of sin' before telling a conference at the Vatican the 'rich world can and must end poverty'.

At a seminar on economic inclusion hosted by the Church on Wednesday, Francis insisted that poverty could be beaten if the world's rich play a full part in ending inequality.

'Today’s structures of sin include repeated tax cuts for the richest people, often justified in the name of investment and development,' Francis told the meeting organized by the Pontifical Academy for Social Sciences.

'We are neither condemned to inequality nor to paralysis in the face of injustice,' he later added.

'The rich world and a prosperous economy can and must end poverty.'

The Pope told attendants, including IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva and French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire, that hundreds of billions of dollars of taxes are not being paid, causing health care and education to suffer.

His ASS- Holiness, Comrade Francis The Turd should “sell all that he(the Catholic Church) has” and help the poor. He is worth BILLIONS.

The Pope isn’t very biblical if he thinks society can get rid of poverty:

Matthew 26:11 “The poor you will always have with you...”,

I thought the New Testament tells us that the goal is to be filled with the Holy Spirit (i.e., born again of the Spirit)...and once that happens we will freely give as He (the Holy Spirit) instructs.

Seems like the Pope is replacing the instructions of the Holy Spirit with instructions of his globalist/communist government and essentially telling the Holy Spirit (i.e., God) that he (the Popester) can do it better.

Then there's money rolling in from various governments. For example, from last year...

Germany continues payments to churches a century after deciding to stop

Nine figures just from Germany.

> How much is the Catholic Church worth? <

It’s a secret (really). That’s not a surprise, given that the Vatican is a sovereign state.

The secrecy is not the problem. It’s the hypocrisy that’s the problem. No one knows just what the Catholic Church is worth. But it must be in the billions. And it’s all controlled by one man.

So what we have, in essence, is a billionaire saying that everyone else’s wealth is bad.

Considering the vast wealth the Vatican has stored up and the Pope is worried about poverty He would give out the vast wealth

Utterance of an idiot who has no clue about history.

Poverty has existed for thousands and thousands of years, not going away no matter how much one wishes to dream otherwise.

And given idiots like to move the goalpost on how ‘poverty’ is to be defined or characterized as, yeah, it not going anywhere.

From 20 years ago, and nothing has changed for the better since...

How Catholic Charities Lost Its Soul You don’t have to be a believer to understand that religious values can uplift the poor. Too bad Catholic Charities USA has lost confidence in the power of those values and has embraced the welfare-state faith.

And remember, a tax cut for everyone is a tax cut for the wealthy or a tax cut for the middle class or a tax cut for the poor. But it is not a tax cut for those who don’t pay taxes... Just ask General Electric.
