Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez admitted this week that Sen. Bernie Sanders may have to compromise and nix his ambitious Medicare for All plan if he is elected president.
The New York congresswoman, a staunch supporter of the more progressive single-payer healthcare system, made the revelation in an interview with HuffPost that was published Thursday.
Ocasio-Cortez noted the difficulties as president of passing legislation, especially for a politically unpopular policy like Medicare for All.

Trump promised one, and I believe that tipped the balance in the blue wall states he needed to win.
It is politically impossible, not because it is unpopular but because the forces opposed to it are too powerful.
If there’s one issue that unites the “donor community” (how disgusting that there is such a thing), it’s this one - because the organized skimming off the top of our current methods of paying for hospital, physician, and nursing services is enriching too many of those “donors”.
Why would a politician, tasked with representing her constituents, want to pass a policy that is so politically unpopular?
If they want to pass productive laws that are unpopular they should start to balance the budget.

Huh? Who does she think PASSES legislation? Who needed to be reminded? Who on earth can take this person seriously? She’s practicing for the day when she can run the whole country? I’ll be gone by then..thank goodness!
