Former Vice President Joe Biden said Sunday he can win the presidency based on his support from African American voters but that he can not take the support "for granted."
The Democratic presidential candidate said he has "overwhelming support" from the African American community, adding that he attributes the same "overwhelming support" from black voters to past Democratic presidential wins dating back to President Carter.
"You can't win – you can't take it for granted. Last time we ran it was basically taken for granted," Biden said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
"I'm the only one who has the record and has the background and has the support. They know me. They know who I am."
Biden's response comes as Democrats continue the primary process into the more diverse states of Nevada and South Carolina.
The South Carolina primary, which will be held at the end of February, is the first state in the primary with a significant African American population.
A Quinnipiac University poll released Monday, however, suggests Biden's support among black voters may be slipping. His support among black voters fell to 27 percent, whereas former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's support among black voters surged to 22 percent, based on the poll.

And why would anybody think that an aging, demented dope who has no achievements in life beyond being elected, will garner black votes just because he says he does not take black voters for granted?

Trump is doing that by specifically campaigning in black venues, PLUS Trump has done more for blacks than any President in living memory simply by putting America first in new trade deals, reducing taxes, reducing regulations, making the U.S. energy independent, and above all, massively slowing the overwhelming influx of illegal aliens who’ve depressed wages and stolen jobs from U.S. citizens, particularly those on the low end of the wage and skill ladder ...

probably the Dems biggest mistake was encouraging universal access to the Internet, including from the Dem plantations ... that kind of information access makes it WAY too easy for inquiring minds to have access to non-propaganda information sources and make up their own minds ...
The leftist establishment is trying to hide information on the Internet.
It is still available, but they are trying to make it more and more difficult to search for it, by listing the “approved” establishment sources first.
This is also happening with “establishment” institutions like Wikipedia (which slants everything “left” and “establishment”).
Learning to work around their attempt to hide non-establishment viewpoints has become a critical skill for all thinking people.
