A New Jersey lawmaker wants the state to pay to send students to private school if their parents are offended by what they are learning. And the plan is already being ripped as an attack on New Jersey’s requirement for an LGBTQ-inclusive curriculum.

State Assemblyman Robert Auth, R-Bergen, proposed the school voucher bill this week, saying all parents should have the option to spare their children from “harmful” curriculum.

Hmm. Bergen is not exactly one of the more conservative areas of NJ, IIRC from when I lived in the state, but I lived a good hour away.

Homeschooling or a private school which will not push the gay agenda 24/7 are choices.

These school systems can’t agree on a curriculum. Every year they spend millions on a new curriculum and all the teacher training. I think a paid choice would be a welcome change.

New Jersey needs to go to an Obamacare-style “Marketplace” for K-12 education provision.

Maybe but far from everyone can do it so it’s by no means the answer to this problem.

Now instead of fighting to change what liberal freak have wrought, we run and hide like b.tches.

That usually ends well.

Charter school and special schools are also being infected by those who are against with children that do not belong in this environment all, children with disciplinary problems, mental problems and need to be medicated and supervised.

Bergen County still has “Blue Laws” - retailers closed on Sundays. Conservative by NJ standards; a lot of taxes paid there, and no really dangerous urban dumps (like Newark or Jersey City).
