The house and senate should approve the White House request today.
THe Ebola funds are already at the executive, so it could quickly be used for something important.
Then, if they want, they can pass a long-term bill with the extra billions they want, and that bill could include restoring the funding to Ebola.
THe democrats threaten our response by refusing to fund what was requested, and pretending that they want to do “more’ without doing the minimum first.

Ebola is the pretext, with the money actually spent so as to benefit Democratic programs and constituencies that are broadly in the public health field. Characteristically, the eventual beneficiaries are not identified in the legislation but are hidden in undisclosed legislative paperwork or determined later. The constitutionality of such practices is suspect but Administrations have always avoided a legally decisive confrontation.
