As I watched the two-hour food fight disguised as the South Carolina Democratic Presidential debate, what really hit me was the enormous contrast between President Trump and the first lady in India this week and the Democrats’ bickering.
The visual of the presidential couple being greeted enthusiastically by more than 120,000 cheering people in India’s largest soccer stadium was so much more impactful than the shrinking respect and declining seriousness of the Democrats’ squabbling.
It may be my age or my partisan bias, but Bernie Sanders seems as he repeats his mantra again and again. At any given time, he’s attacking Israel, defending Cuban dictators, proposing to take away everyone’s private health insurance, announcing new programs which would cost $10 trillion to $70 trillion dollars, and explaining everything could be paid for by taxing the rich. In a Broadway play, you would cast Sanders as the comic interlude.
However, in the real world of the modern radical Democratic party, Sanders is the most likely person to be their presidential nominee. A number of the other candidates tried to warn last night that a Sanders radical socialist ticket would cost Democrats the House (making Republican leader Kevin McCarthy the speaker) and give Majority Leader Mitch McConnell several new Republican senators.
But, when the party activists decide that purity is more important than practicality, no rational warning of the coming disaster has any impact.

Chattering monkeys working themselves into a rage, scooping feces up, and hurling those little missiles with all their might.
It seems to me that Bloomberg was proud that he bought control of the House by spending 100 million dollars and putting Pelosi in control. I thought we had campaign finance laws? Shouldn’t he be investigated?
I only saw a very short clip of the ending and you’re 100% right if that’s any reflection on the entire thing, what a fiasco.

Yes, but you can donate whatever you want to PAC’s, not specific candidates. That’s how we lost 3 incumbents in VA including Dave Bratt. His opponent had over 4 million in out of state money. Incumbency is neutralized when going up against billionaire money.
While some blame the house flip on many GOP candidates not running, that was only part of it. Plenty of incumbents like Mia Love, the lady who won Newt’s seat in GA and others got deluged by billionaire money. That’s why the chump change the DNC raises no longer matters.
I guess debates like Romney vs Gingrich 2012 are gone.
Voter fraud is the only mechanism to unseat Trump. And it will be rampant. Even when recognized and proven, there’s no accountability. The guilty skate. If it were up to me, they would be prosecuted and hanged in public.
I agree big time. Public hangings would be a most welcome deterrent in these days of lawlessness for many crimes that have come to be ignored.
Look kids, the chimpanzees are flinging poop at the tourists.
