The U.S. military said early Wednesday it had conducted an airstrike against Taliban forces in Afghanistan, the first such attack since a historic peace deal was signed with the militant group Saturday.
The Helmand Province strikes targeted fighters attacking an Afghan government checkpoint.

Why don’t we just salt the poppy fields and leave?
I think we should go after all know Taliban concentrations with FAEs and decimate them . Hit them in the passes to Pakistan as they try to flee. Turn them in to crispy critters , and any collateral civ damages= sin loi....Follow up by crop spraying ALL opium poppy fields with herbacide and then salt the fields. The survivors will come around. If not, wipe them out too.
President Trump he doesn’t want to “ kill millions” . Probably only a few thousand will do the trick . Gloves off , and let fly. FAE... Put the fear of the Christian God Almighty into them.

The problem in this part of the world is without a functioning strong government, terrorist groups will take over and turn it into a training camp.
We either leave some troops there, or we have to kill everyone there. Killing everyone there isn’t a popular option.
We bombed the hell out of Tora Bora, but it was boots on the ground that ultimately evicted the 200 fighters living in the caves.

The Jihad is a crowd-funded, self-financing war. (Sure, there are big actors involved for their own purposes, but the soldiers can be recruited or self generated anywhere there are Muslims.) There are 1.5 billion Muslims and their culture and indoctrination tells them to go kill for their ideology. A percentage of them will do that. Any percentage of 1.5 billion will likely outnumber any nation’s army. The fact that they mostly come from the ground with no overarching country means they are always there among us and there is usually no way to know who they are until they decide to act. One takes his delivery truck and runs down a bunch of bikers or joggers. A Muslim doctor sterilizes his non Muslim patients without their knowledge.
A Muslim worker got angry with me because he could not understand the complexities of the job I was explaining. He growled, “You won’t like it when we take over. You will be my slave.” He was one of the “moderate” Muslims. Everybody liked him, but I listened to what he said and it was scary.
Sounds like a plan to me.
Believe it or not, they have been destroying the poppy fields since Trump but no one reports that.
I hate to say this but Bolton wanted to decimate the ragheads. He’s right about this one.
I agree with your goal, but rather than salt I recommend Agent Orange. If we can expose our own military to it, why not some Poppy's?
Taking out only 10% of them wouldn't accomplish the required genocide.

We’ve been doing that for almost 20 years now. It doesn’t matter how many of them we kill, they’re like cockroaches who just keep breeding and coming back.
I would just pull all of our troops out period and let the Afghan government collapse. Who cares anyway? Tired of seeing my tax dollars trying to exterminate these terrorists. Just get out and leave and let the country burn.
