Illegal Border Crossings Drop by Half as New Coronavirus U.S.-Mexico Border Policies Go Into Effect: DHS

A Trump administration official said Sunday that illegal border crossings have dropped by half as the strictest U.S.-Mexico border policies yet went into place amid the coronavirus pandemic, but there was confusion about how it was all working.

Anyone caught crossing the border illegally is to be immediately returned back to Mexico or Canada, according to the new restrictions based on an order from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention late Friday. According to Mark Morgan, the acting head of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the decision applies to all migrants.

“We’re not going to take you into our custody,” he said Saturday evening on Fox News. “We don’t know anything about you. You have no documents, we’re not going to take you into our facilities and expose you to CBP personnel and the American people as well as immigrants,” he said.

this standard should be applied to all illegals, whether they are caught on the border or some shithole in New York, etc they should be immediately return to their home country.

What is the # though? Last stories I read there were 4000 illegals coming through daily, but that was months ago.

This tells me what we have all known for years and that is that they could've done something at the border all along but they didn't want to.

None of them wanted to do anything about the border. Some told you the truth that they wanted it wide open while others lied and said they were trying but couldn't for one stupid reason after the other but mostly is everyone else's fault.

The open border society tells what they want but those weasles that are supposedly conservative are the worst liars and now everyone knows the truth and here's the proof.

Every politician in this country should be ashamed of themselves but they won't. Call them liars to their faces and their buddies that hide their lies in news industry need to finally go down with them.
