NPR had to fact-check its own fact-check, showing President Trump wasn’t wrong after all when he said over 50,000 Americans could die from the flu this year.
On Monday, NPR published a story headlined, “FACT CHECK: Trump Says 50,000 Could Die From Flu. So Far, It’s Half That.”
The story quoted Trump recently saying, “We have a lot of people dying from the flu on top of everything else… it looks like it could be over 50,000."

NPR Fact Checker: “Unbelievable! Totally false! I don’t even need to look out the window to know that’s a lie!”
NPR: “We looked out the window. The President’s claim is mostly true, although we did spot a small cloud off to the East.”

In response to my email, CNBC corrected a headline and story.
So far the flu has a higher death rate and will stay that way.
NPR/PBS got $75 million in the donkey giveaway just approved in the Senate.
The local paper here, the Richmond Times Dispatch, ran a headline about a week ago on the front page above the fold that said “Va. deaths at 67” from the Wuhan flu.
At that time, there were 67 Virginia cases, not deaths. Today there are 12 Va. deaths total.

Heard the stories that CDC employees wept when Trump beat Hillary? How objective would THOSE folks be collecting & analyzing the data? And wouldn’t a “SCARE” like this serve to open the tax slave (er PAYER) money sigot for them, as another government operation, to piss away on “research” (or whatever)?

One final thought: Could this just be another of the periodic tests conducted by Deep State leftists who would be more at home in Stalin’s Russia than Trump’s America to see if their century long socialist indoctrination in the GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS has enough of us sufficiently DUMBED DOWN to make their long awaited FINAL PUSH?
