CAIRO, March 29 (Reuters) - The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen said early on Sunday that the kingdom's air defences intercepted two ballistic missiles on Saturday night launched by Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi group towards Riyadh and the city of Jizan, Saudi state news agency (SPA) said citing the coalition's spokesman.

The coalition's spokesman, Colonel Turki al-Malki, said in a statement that no fatalities had been recorded so far. He said destroying the missiles caused some shrapnel to fall on residential neighbourhoods in the two cities, SPA reported.

The spokesman added that firing missiles at this time by the Houthis and Iranian Revolutionary Guards showed the real threat the group and Iranian regime supporting it pose, adding that this escalation does not reflect the group's announcement that it is welcoming a ceasefire.

I'm a bit curious in what other FReepers think of the Saudi Arabia and Iran these days. Given that the oil dumping by Saudi affects our petroleum industry and the livelihood of its workers, has that pushed anyone to be more anti-Saudi? It took me decades to become somewhat neutral about the Saudis after gas lines of the 70's. Then there is that little fact that the majority of 9/11 terrorists came from Saudi. I never got over the Iranian hostage crisis. Also, I never gave a damn about Yemen. I lump all of these camel piss drinking Mooslims into one group now. I care more about one American roughneck than all Mooslims combined.

Saudi Arabia is an enemy of America. One of the biggest forces in American history is every politician pretending they’re some sort of Ally. They are the leading source of terrorism in the world. They have used their money to corrupt our government. They are a feudal monarchy They criminalize Christianity, Judaism, most activities by women, and they legalize slavery. But other than that they’re really nice nation

Here’s a tip........The Saudi’s wouldn’t know a Patriot missile if it rode by them on a bicycle.
..............
Those are our recently installed Patriot batteries, manned by American military personnel, exclusively.
............
The same Patriot batteries that were denied our troops in Iraq.

Yes, and confiscate their cash, and treat them the way we treated captured nazis at the end of WWII. The ones that resist should be hanged. Saudi Arabia and it’s endless threat to world peace should be permanently ended. Not with some half-assed Iraq or Afghan effort, but a WWII style conquering and reordering of their entire society and culture.

A generation of kids needs to be raised under the strict control of some MacArthur type of absolute American occupation governor. Islam should be utterly eradicated as Japanese militarism was and as Germany was denazified.

Exactly. I laughed at the idea of a “Saudi lead” coalition.
