The Government Our Founders Warned Us About Is Here

The COVID-19 virus pandemic is unprecedented. It has brought new challenges to the federal government, governors of states, local-level politicians, and us as individuals. Democrat governors were expecting President Trump to take care of the problem. Instead, he rightfully put the onus back on the governors, as he should have since they are directly responsible for their citizens. However, some politicians have seized the opportunity of added control then topped the newfound capability with a little extra tyranny.

Gretchen Whitmer is the governor for the state of Michigan – she is a Democrat. Michigan has been hit with the COVID-19 virus-like all the other states. Whitmer enacted the social distancing and stay-at-home guidelines recommended by the Center for Disease Control in an attempt to slow down further infections. Now, she has restricted movement for citizens that want to move house-to-house, making it punishable to visit family or friends unless you have a reason. Whitmer has also declared from her throne that Michigan residents cannot go to garden centers to buy seeds, so the state government can potentially regulate your food, making self-sufficiency, not an option.

The governor of Kentucky, Democrat Andy Beshear, issued an edict for Easter Sunday stating if church members attended a service held at their place of worship that law enforcement would take their license plate information. The parishioners would face a government forced quarantine – never mind that the First Amendment exists. There is a video on the internet of Kentucky State Police Officers walking around a church and collecting license plate numbers, which has caused a national outrage.

In Louisville, Kentucky, the mayor, Democrat Greg Fischer, attempted to ban drive-in Easter Sunday services before a judge overruled him. The mayor of Greenville, Mississippi, Democrat Errick Simmons, did through executive order. Examples are across the country.

Trump made the right decision when he told the governors that they would need to take care of their states, but the federal government will help them when asked. Once again, he proved the media wrong in that he is not a dictator.

Ironically, the Democratic Party has proven itself the authoritarians, which is not surprising. As data emerges, we see reasons to lessen restrictions. However, governors like Whitmer and Beshear are maintaining their totalitarian lockdowns. Either they are willfully ignorant to the numbers –which is highly unlikely – or they are taking every advantage they can to exercise as much power as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our Founding Fathers warned us about giving too much power back to a government. Since the election of former President Barack Obama, there has been a visible struggle of power between Washington D.C., specifically the Democratic Party and liberal Republicans, and American citizens. Obama signed the Affordable Healthcare Act into law in 2010. American’s who did not want the government to have control of their healthcare organized, bringing us the Tea Party and giving the House of Representatives back to the Republican Party.

Now, we have the Democratic Party that is trying to keep the panic and hysteria up as long as possible. Whitmer’s executive order intends to lockdown Michigan residents even more. Beshear is attacking worship services, our First Amendment rights. Democrats are continually pushing the media’s virus narrative without any perspective, such as the recovery rate. It is as if the media and the Democratic Party are working in concert to maintain power over Trump’s booming economy for as long as possible.

Democrats are desperate for power. They have not been able to get over the loss to Trump in 2016 and have done everything possible to obstruct his America First agenda, including an attempt to impeach on purely partisan lines. This is the chance to have as much power as possible, and they intend to keep it as long as they can.

Do not think that Democrats are just seizing the moment. Be one-hundred percent confident they are taking notes. Can you imagine what it would be like with Democrats entirely in charge? They must never get complete control of Washington. Otherwise, America will change in such a way, and we would never recognize it again.

The Founding Fathers understood what a genuinely oppressive government was. They knew that citizens as people did not matter to the Crown, but control over the group was vital. That is why citizens are the central theme in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

Democratic governors and mayors are crippling individuals with no due regard as they continue to get their paychecks. It’s highly immoral and unethical.

The governors who are treating the citizens like mindless beings and shredding the Constitution remind me of the character known as The Governor on the television series The Walking Dead. He acted as he cared about the people he was over, but in the end, it was all about self-service and the exercise of power and control.

Democrats are acting like they have their system of government, and individual rights, freedoms, and liberties no longer matter.

“Liberty may be endangered by the abuses of liberty as well as the abuses of power.” – James Madison

"The liberties of our country, the freedoms of our civil Constitution are worth defending at all hazards; it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors. They purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood.

It will bring a mark of everlasting infamy on the present generation – enlightened as it is – if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of designing men.”

-Sam Adams

Who would have guessed that the Communist Revolution would come about as a response to the common cold?

A “moderate” Democrat is a socialist who wants to pretend he isn’t one.

A “moderate” Republican is someone who agrees that guy isn’t a socialist at heart.

This virus is NOT unprecedented!

We’ve been through worse pandemics as a country - whats unprecedented is the unconstitutional totalitarian control the state governments are enacting to “keep us safe“.

The government ain't the problem here, folks.

AMERICANS are the problem.

Just take a look through a random thread here on FR related to COVID-19 and see how many people who consider themselves to be conservatives have turned out to be complete frauds.

And notice that most religious institutions in this country closed down their houses of worship without a fight even in cases where they were not covered by government closure orders.

The Dems have been prepared for this crisis. Just not in the fashion one might think, like ventilators and masks.

There is power in numbers. People aren’t going along because of the fear of the government so much as fear of their fellow citizens. You might say, “the citizenry our forefathers warned us about.”

Exactly. In fact, as I argued with them, I wound up getting banned for a week.

This entire situation is disgusting.

Unfortunately, the people wanted the 16th and 17th Amendments. Very few connect our subsequent tribulations and ratcheting government growth with these fundamental corruptions of the Framers’ system.
