In normal times, the vice presidency is not supposed to be worth a warm bucket of, um, spit. But these are not normal times.
A global plague has shut down much of American society. The virus is particularly deadly to the elderly, and the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee will turn 78 later this year. In November, voters will want more than anything a VP who is ready on a moment’s notice to lead the country out of a crisis. So the Democratic veepstakes is suddenly much more important than it otherwise would be.

Except Klobuchar has a YUUUUUUGE problem. She made a big deal about her husband being cured of Coronavirus yet has still NOT revealed the treatment. You can read more about her conundrum in this THREAD.
Unfortunately she is the Senator here. She is incredibly dull with no charisma whatsoever.
The only reason she wins elections is because the Minnesota media covers for her and keeps up the Nice Amy schtick.

Well , every presidential candidate who ever run, has said that picking a vice president who will be able to take over on a moment’s notice, was a key criterion for choosing that person.
Klobuchar is probably not liberal enough for some of today’s radical leftist Democrats or Bernie Bros.
If Biden were to win by some slight of hand, The VP will be the president within a year. Biden can’t last long neither physically nor mentally.

Klobuchar seems to me to be the best option available to Biden. I will be surprised if he picks someone else.
Half Whit screwed the pooch. A state capitol surrounded by angry voters is not a good look. Nice cans only only buys a finite amount of forgiveness.

Some nice FR folks have informed me she has drawbacks as a senator — but even with everything she still looks like the most salable ( least insane ) veep name the D’s have floated. She might help the D ticket in the upper Midwest too. She has to be far better than FakeInjunSquaw or HilLIARy or ineligible ( and nuts) Harris or Mad Maxine Waters or Nancy Pelousy or ? Wow! The DNC is running an insane asylum (full of some very dangerous inmates )
I hope Slow Joe picks Klobuchar.
